I for one am optimistic about this patch. It's quite nice to not have any of my chars crapped on and nerfed into oblivion. that's been happening to me every single update.
on another point, everyone who has been saying that they're quitting or done with this game is welcome to gift me all of their currency and "nerfed" uniques. I'm a collector and will give them a good home.;) edit: having said that about my chars, with my luck, GGG will be looking closely at all of my chars which will result in 2.4.1 finishing off what took all of the updates from 1.0 forward to do. I'll miss the awesome Cast on Crit visuals. Coc + GMP + Spectral Throw + fireball + arctic breath + ball lightning looked like I was blasting out a stream of pure awesome everywhere

performance increases always welcome. disappointed to see SRS AI will remain screwed. the aspect that you can cast a ton of them and they just camp on you is ridiculous. |

If the DEVs never intended for spells to be turned into a chain gunning autocannon of death, they shouldn't have put it in the game in that form in the first goddamn place.

Reading the patch notes has really encouraged me to make a new build. it'll be really easy and cheap. best part is it's also REALLY fast to level, since you just stop at lvl 2 and sell items that you have in your inventory, either over trade channels or acquisition, you don't need any pesky levelled gems either, just sell the ones you do have. I might make a build guide.

" I realize there's a lot of BS floating around this thread, but I think your challenge about the math is inaccurate. The people running CoC already crit maybe 10+ times per second (proc'ing maybe 20-30 spells). Of course they can crit twice, and get two procs per second - they're upset because this is a considerable reduction for them. Bex confirmed that each spell has its own 500ms cooldown so you can still, for example, trigger up to 8 spells per second (with no dmg supports) on a 6L. This isn't terrible. I'm just noting that your criticism about people being ignorant of the 100% proc rate is off-base; lots of people see that, and have accurately noted that it will not affect them practically in any way since they already proc way more than twice a second. Twice a second is a huge decrease. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting CoC was balanced or fair. Just that some of the dissenters are not necessarily bad at math - the math works out to a considerable damage reduction for CoC in most (nearly all) build scenarios. " Do you even realize what means 2 per 1sec? How slow is this? Did you even play this build? If someone calculate it... all these things, its probably 80% less dmg/dps. Only by disabling using second skill gem in links was enough, cuz will not let you using blade vortex to keep power charges up. That is actually real nerf to single target. |
