Scion Ascendancy Feedback
" Basically ranger's area going from scion plus the hp wheel, getting gladiator and inquisitor starting nodes is of no use. |

No change to Scion in the patch notes. :-(

" Glad i picked up a 20q warcheif, still her best spec, cant wait to swap gear |
|
" Can't even link your tree BabyRage. " Scion went from being one of the best classes to literally the worst class in the game, her previous power of flexibility and tree position isn't worth as much as the raw power classes get from having 8 points. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285
FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF. |

One concrete thing which I know from my gaming experience is you won't get a lot of money (if any) from players if you let them down. So far PoE had a lot of letdowns - much more than other games I've played last year - starting from horrible connection issues (during my 100% single-player experience!) to discovery of unfathomable farm to get a 6-socket item with desired colors and links.
And Scion's ascendancy with 40 stat node reward for normal Lab completion is one of the major contributors to the "PoE's letdowns list". Especially after I've watched ~1 year old videos about amazing Scion (pre-nerf apparently). Re-make required. Or at least a warning for players who choose scion during character creation - something like: "Are you sure you want to play the most disappointing class in the game?" Seriously - having to re-start with third character during my first week in the game doesn't make sense for an RPGame where we are supposed to form some kind of mental bonds with our toons (otherwise why even spend money on disposable toons which will be abandoned in 3-5 days or after next patch-nerf?) " I agree that it would be better if Scion also had her own unique Ascendancy Tree. I'm not really into lore but isn't she a young daughter of some nobleman who murdered her arranged husband (i.e. spoiled selfish brat)? By that idea... Gem branch sounds really good. Big nodes would give some kind of bonuses to jewels in general (or bonuses per jewel equipped). Small nodes could be just jewel sockets (perhaps color of jewels in these sockets could modify the bonuses from big nodes). Aura branch sounds good too but unlike Guardian her aura buffs should be all about herself; make them cheaper, increase effect but reduce area (or reduce the effect on others), give her a buff per her own aura (or from any aura, she could be selfish enough to leech from others while giving little back), etc. Then she's the jack of all trades character of the game so she could have an attack branch and a spell branch. Both of them would be generic boosts to their respective areas maybe with some unique effects at the final big node (not sure what yet). Other option would be physical and elemental branches built similarly. Third option could be a branch for each stat. Point is that her current Ascendancy tree is both boring and weak. Also it has no personal flavor as it only imitates what others already do better than her. |

I've been playing a Facebreaker Scion with high block chance since Ascendancy. The Scion Ascendant is useful to me for +6% block chance, +15% spell block chance, and two additional skill points. The Scion start area also saves me a couple skill points. This character has 50K tooltip DPS with Ice Crash and is pretty much invincible to physical damage while Cycloning, but has issues with spike damage.
I have six Ascendancy points, if I got the last two I'd just take two more passive tree points. The Duelist and Templar Starting Point nodes are completely useless to me as I already have access to those areas and the Ascendant nodes wouldn't save me any skill tree points. IMO, the Ascendant Starting Point nodes should be replaced with copies of distant Keystones from each of the six sides of the skill tree: Marauder Ascendancy path - Blood Magic Keystone Duelist Ascendancy path - Iron Reflexes Keystone Ranger Ascendancy path - Vaal Pact Keystone Shadow Ascendancy path - Ghost Reaver Keystone Witch Ascendancy path - Chaos Innoculation Keystone Templar Ascendancy path - Zealot's Oath Keystone This would enable the Scion to create unique passive tree builds that would be inaccessible to any other class.
