Race Event Season One announced!

I think these are awesome prizes to shoot for, especially since you'll find plenty of currency and equipment items along the way as you play.
I already have a Goldrim cap and it's my go-to helmet when leveling any new character; the ilvl 100 coral ring and Wanderlust boots will make great additions as well. Facebreakers will inspire their own build when/if I get them. At 480 points for the final threshold you'd need to level 69 characters to the 7-point reward threshold over the course of the entire season, provided you didn't attain any of the other rewards. Only 35 characters if you decided you didn't care about the shield and tapped out after reaching the Facebreakers threshold. While I do play a lot, I don't think I'll be able to compete with the top players so I think I'll shoot for quantity over quality! Looking forward to this! |

" Why would it ruin the economy? They could have rewards ranging from 1 chance orb to 5 fusings and 5 chromatics and 5 jewellers, for example. Doesn't have to be exalts regals and whatnot. Everyone from casual to the most experienced can always have a use for Chromatics, Jewellers, Alteration etc. They could also create new consumables that are one time use only that are only available during races. For example +10% experience for one hour, +10% Resists for one hour, etc. People love that stuff. Make them non tradable if necessary. Those would not be in the cash shop so no issues. It is kinda meh that I have to play at least a dozen races and then wait until the season finishes to get 2-3 lowlvl uniques.
The artstyle thing is pretty cool, in a couple of years Season 1 stuff will probably be worth a lot. A small amount of currency for every race would be be nice for an immediate reward. You don´t have to give out x random currency, you can just design nice little prices so people who cant play the race don´t feel like they´ve missed sth important. |

Events sounds awesome. I didnt get a chance to read all the rules but as long as the top 10 hardcore players ( streams, pros ) dont end up winning everything; I will difently particapte.
As far as im aware, it appears that you will earn RP just for leveling and staying alive. This helps the upper average - hardcore player to still have chane to win something. Just make currency obtained from races nontradeable. Boom now people will want to run races to upgrade their gear and it won't ruin the economy.

I like the RP system! It looks absolutely fine for me. On the the other hand I have different feelings about prizes. I already have most of these unique items and I don't really care if these items have exclusive icons or not.
I think prizes should be tweaked a bit. There should be something more than simply an unique item with the exclusive icon. "/signed |
