Maybe you should L2R (learn to read). I never said it's impossible for non-lifereg/speed characteres, it's just much harder.

Playing normally is harder than cheesing content with the most powerful defensive mechanics ?
No kidding.

Also you missed ( or ignored ) the fact that GGG did not want to make Atlas of world the only way to run endgame content, which takes most of the player's time, which is a much, much bigger deal than running the lab once in every difficulty.

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

If people were actually coming to replace ones who leave, then it really wouldn't be a big deal.

The trouble is, all who were ever coming have come already. Now there's only leavers

If that were true then the lab would have been changed, the fact is that GGG have the figures on how many are running the lab and how often, that figure far exceeds the few people moaning about the lab so there has been no change.

Player numbers are drecreasing from league to league, especially since lab introduction. Alot of people are coming back when a new league starts, but the heavy playerbase drop comes sooner and harder. Lets see if this also happens with the next league.

I'm not saying that this is just because of the lab. I think it's mostly since the game becomes boring for some players and it's harder for them to stick to the game for a long time and therefore leave sooner after a league starts. But it's possible that the lab is part of the problem here.

Can i ask where you got those numbers from, the steam charts dont really show that. Im not really arguing with peoples statements on the lab for me it's kinda middling mandatory content, compared to perandus theres a steeper drop off but in the 3rd month the numbers are slightly higher. Theres also been a few drops lower then what they are now over the last year.

I'm not sure where people always get that number. Perandus set a new record on players and Prophecy did so again. Not sure, maybe Atlas of Worlds does it again. GGG said multiple times that they are happy with their expansions since they have increasing numbers in players, although they want to do a bit more against the natural decline during a league (which is hard, some people are just burned out faster from new content then others). Overall they seem to be happy with how there expansions turned out and there is really no sign of a lack of players.

The only mild concern they might have is that numbers for hardcore go down rapidly. The bulk of the player population concentrates on the temporary standard league.

There are also so many wrong parts... I sometimes doubt that people complaining about the lab ever set a food in there.

The bulk of lab is trap gauntlets. Tedious, boring sections that ignore most of your character choices, with only movement speed and life regen mattering.

No its not. For most areas you have to cross a single gauntlet to get through, for some two it is rarely more than that. Sometimes you don't have to deal with traps at all. They also don't ignore that much more of your stats than any other content. A Physical Attack ignores all your resistances, an Elemental Attack all your Armor etc. this time they just add Life to it, which is actually beneficial, since it removes the surprising damage part that most other parts of the game consist of.

"
On the topic of Izaro, he is overtuned and imbalanced for non-armour or direct physical mitigation (endurance charges, fortify, etc.) builds.

If you focus that on non-armor melee builds, maybe. But for all other he is likely the boss fight which gives the best ability to ignore most or even all of his damage. His attacks are incredble slow and while some versions of the fight have issues, he is a lot fairer than Malachai or even Merveil (who is a bitch to melees) since he has such incredible long wind up allowing the player to avoid attacks even if he stands in front of him. And you can even outlevel 3 of the Izaros massively.

I don't even need the 4th Izaro. Of course Assassins get incredible OP with the 4th Izaro, but even here I don't see a need for those points. I usually would say that 4 Points is all you need, the rest is optional, but I would agree that 6 are required and only the two last points are optional.

"But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years.
GGG figured out long ago that the pattern of playing is cyclic. People go hard at it for a month and then taper off for the next two. Why do you think they settled on a 3 month cycle? So referencing any data showing numbers dropping in the months following a league start is not proving anything other than GGG understanding the cycle and releasing content to take maximum advantage of that.

Why do people always complain about how most lab runners are juggernaughts? Remember when Atziri was new? Most of those runners were specific builds at first too. I think it started as Righteous Fire builds until LL Spectral Throw took over. As time went on, people figured out how to do it with other builds. People adapt and then the people who don't think for themselves copy the adapted builds just like they've always done.

Path of Exile is dead anyway,

Whisperers from the Void tell me there´s a new game out soon
that is far more challlenging, easier to learn and harder to master without having to rely on pesky spiketraps or poisoned darts,
its also far more instantly rewarding upon beating it !
Perfect opportunity to switch games if you don´t like the lab.

Most likely will be released on steam and will be tablet-ready in a month.
