" HC player here... Only reason I didn't do endgame lab yet is not because of traps. Trap is not hard. It is simple enough aside from the low visibility bullshit (asynchronous stuff offscreen/light radius that you cannot take time to observe, and some of the font things are just terrible for some builds (why? why should the build matter so much its a fucking puzzle game).

Did all the trials several times which are allegedly harder than the labyrinth's traps. Some of them completed on LIFE VAAL PACT EVASION character I like to play shitty builds and then I encounter this fucking izaro dude i already beat u 9+ times per character, fuck off... too high risk of dying to 2 or even 1 mistake is just stressful. not to mention that it feels like a massive waste to do the lab just for ascendency... the amount to gain with additional keys is ridiculous, feels economically stupid to run the labyrinth and only get 1 key... |

correct me if im wrong but this seems to be.. a decent risk/reward situation!
something you evaluate and do/not do. instead of doing it 'by default'. so maybe it is something that work as expected? |

Its a nice idea but could lead to some serious price fixing for the orbs.
In my opinion it would be so much nicer to have the orbs drop dominus instead. also make it a quest item that is not a trade item and drops only once for player (assuming they have use it to ascend) here is why: - we all have to kill dominus to get to act 4 (even in merciless - cause dried lake, and 1 more free passive point in act4) - it would separate ascendancy from lab, as so many pointed out, most builds are made for general gameplay not traps. - it would still allow lab to be a rewarding content for those who want to run it, as it will still provide chest rewards as well as enhancements to the gear, that you can not get anywhere else in the game. - only the last 2 points would stay behind uber lab izaro kill. If you ask why dominus and not malachai, its because HC. I think its only fair for the points to be available for both leagues, and doing it on malachai would be harsh on HC community, as I personally feel he is much stronger then izaro in the corresponding difficulty lab. YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions

" The 2 first points here are exactly why it is a bad idea. Plus only some kinda builds are designed to cheese the lab. All the other builds can go through traps without troubles when you know the patterns a little bit. Asc points should not be free, ascendancy is supposed to be a reward for clearing the lab = completing a challenge that is less brainless than what the rest of the game has became. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" 3-4 times lab / per char? Those points are essential for nearly all builds now. You don't want to miss them. And being forced to play the lab is not the right way to go. In my opinion 1-6 should not be gated in a content that the "minority" :P does not like! |

We need them and binding them to dominus is not giving them free you still need to kill dominus, is just an option to remove them from lab, which as you havent noticed most of the community hate ever so much. as I pointed out, this is just so people will not be forced to do lab for ascendancy points, while still maintaining the lab rewards that can only be found in lab. most of the comunity hates it? they would like that to be the case but bumping threads and talking with eachother does not make a feedback valid.
people are afraid of anything that is even remotely challenging (no, killing bosses nowadays is not a challenge) and want everything for free there is a challenge with a reward if you complete it. do it and achieve it. if you for whatever reason wont do that - dont expect this reward given to you. noone cares why you cannot do it - it is irrelevant. and forgive me but if someone thinks that 3 lab runs are too much but at the same time killed voll 1200 times.. sorry. insanity knows no boundaries |

And no, Dominus kill is basically required in all difficulties, which means that adding another reward is a free one, which is a bad thing. I'm pretty sure that many people don't like Dominus, and definitely don't like Malachai ( many people probably don't like the bowels of the beat and nightmarish Piety either I bet ) .... But they need to kill those bosses all the same. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" comparing doing lab to voll achivement is strange. One requires being good at frogger type games nad have nothing to do with the core of what poe is ARPG, on the other hand you got a challange that can drive most normal people nuts, not cause its hard, but cause its soooo repetitive, and takes ages to finish. so for you chance to get some really OP enchantment on your gloves, boots and helm that can not be acquire anywhere else than in lab, is not enough of a reward to do it? In my humble opinion its really worth its risk, if you are up for the challange. but some (a lot) of us, do not need it so badly, but we all want ascendancy points to progress. This is way i think that its a good idea. You go for lab and you still get a challenge and a special reward or you dont and you are happy with your bob standard gear, or even better for you, people like that will buy your enhancement lab gear. its a win win situation. YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions
