Stacked Deck Clarification

I think it shouldn't drop separately from the Card, as that ruins the "pulling from a Deck/Booster" feel. But it definitely shouldn't be using the same weightings as Gambler, that makes it pointless/obsolete..

Well if it doesn't drop separately from the card I don't think it should be called a currency :/

No sorry. This is speculative theory.

That being said, however, it would make sense to me if this was the case. If you take the stacked deck currency to a location and use said currency, you would be "stacking the deck" in your favor to have a better chance at getting the card.

The problem with things like that, while cool and thematic...This currency would only ever be used in Springs so it's not very exciting in practice.

Care to explain why?

Really sorry how things have panned out OP. It's a great idea.

Regarding the currency dropping independently to the cards, I do tend to agree that the concept of opening a "deck" is lost. However I don't think that should stop it happening. What if the currency dropped individually but you couldn't be used outside of a stack of 10?

As for the weighting, Flat weighting sounded too good to be true unless the cards were ultra rare. Standard drop rates just suck though. I'd prefer something like exsea mentioned earlier in the thread... I'd internally divide cards into Rares, Uncommons and Commons and go with 1 Rare (Some weighting applied), 2 uncommon (minimal weighting applied) and 7 commons (unweighted).

I don't know. Springs, Dried lakes. Even so, where does it matter what people use it for. Also the drop rates still apply so people might want to use it in Aqueduct to get a tabula if they need one or something. The cards are still rare in those area. So you probably would have to waste like 1000+ orbs in springs to get the divi card you want still.

I don't know.

Right, so I said "in practice". What I mean by that is, what is it like to use (in practice)? Where does 'fun' enter in to the equation? Imagine you want a Kaom's Heart, and Stacked Deck works the way you want it to. What is your best course of action?

It's not going to a volcano map to try and get The King's Heart. It's going to Springs to get The Doctor and selling that for 3 Kaom's Hearts instead of finding 1/8th of one. That's fun, but not in the thematic way we would like the card to be fun.

I like the idea floating around of making it

'only usable with a stack of 10'
'it's like opening a booster pack'
'GGG internally 'prices' the cards by tiers into 3'
'your cards are given in the 7/2/1 split with modified weighting in the top tier, and no weighting in the lower tier.'

ofc it's up to OP and GGG but I think that's a nice mix of theme, balance, fairness, and fun for all concerned parties.

How about the idea of recycling a number of our hard earned divination card for a stacked deck? Like some did in Magic the Gathering. re-packing cards and selling it to lower price.

Has anyone confirmed how the currency item is used yet, or is everyone hoarding whatever they get in hopes it updates to the less crap odds? I assume 10 is max stack for it, and putting it in currency stash tab will always require using a wildcard slot but go to 5k?

Does it require using it on anything/consuming anything, or is it really just 10 giftboxes in a stack? Because that would seem kind of silly when it shouldn't be that hard to just require 10 inventory slots open and populate them with the cards.
People who don't like the Labyrinth are not a minority: Be heard - say you don't like it in your signature. Don't leave complaining about lab to others - GGG needs to see how many people dislike it. Ascendancy must be gated on true ARPG content, not a poorly-crafted internet Legend of Zelda wannabe.
Any update on when Stacked Deck will be dropping in the wild? Any update on if they're happy with and/or done tinkering with the weighting from Stacked Deck? Same for Lucky Deck drop rate.
The wording on the lucky deck card "10x stacked deck" made me think I was to receive 10 decks, not 10 cards. I traded in a set of cards to see what I would get - looks like the rng is indeed richer than normal:

Can we get an equivalent card that rewards 10 full random decks please. That would be awesome. Thanks in advance :)
