Question about the unique!

It says increased attack damage per 400 Armour AND Evasion. Is it an and, an or, or a both?

Do you need 400 of each stat to get the buff? IE 400 ar 400 ev - 1%

Do you get the buff per 400 of each? IE 400 ar 400 ev - 2%

Or do you get the buff on the highest armour vs evasion? 800 ar 400 ev 2%

beastly and savagery referring to the armour/fortify side of the belt, typically armour being more aggressive.

beauty and elegance referring to the evasion side of the belt, typically evasion being a more "beautiful" skill.

so in short when you mix armour and evasion you gain "real power" (i.e onslaught) and the damage buff granted.

If I'm not wrong it means you need 400 of each stat. Pretty much like your first example - 400/400 = 1%, 800/400 = 1%, 800/800 = 2% etc.

I like the idea of making it a Daresso themed item with it being Armour/Evasion(Str/Dex like the other Daresso items) however if we're going to tie Merveil into it why not name it after her?

Now then... after taking the basetype and properties into consideration, this is my proposal:

Name:

The trialling path, vanguard belt.

(not too happy about the name, so it's a temp... wanted it to be warpath, but alberon's boots got that one already.)

Text:

Those but quick, they died.

Only the vanguard kept marching,
only the best survived.

(The theme of the basetype itself is frontline fighters (vanguards), whereas the theme of the unique is... well, exactly the same. It's about motion and being semi-unstoppable while slaughtering your way through danger...)

An alternative would be:

the same, OR

The champions path, vanguard belt.

Text:

Only the strong may carve it.
Only the quick may walk it.
Turning life into death,
death into a safe path,
one that the weak may follow.

(Or something among those lines, meh)
