Management 1 0 1.

Make some shit then correct it. It makes people "happier", more "satisfied", that if you actually had dome your job right from the start.

L O L @ people "thanking" GGG for doing basic shit.

if you ever think about running your own software company, here's my pro tip: start with the little things first!! don't care for bigger concepts, it's the small improvements a customer really wants first.

avoid this new shit like agile which gets the customer something working first and fixes it later (if he pays accordingly) :)

and even if it takes you 10 years longer to release your first version: glowing buttons, animations and splash screens as well as colored text need to come first.

management 101!

lol really is that all GGG no spam filters or anything
Don't really care much for timestamps tbh, it ain't gonna change anything for me. A great change though, would be if you could write /t for trade instead of alt gr + 4 or whatever, which is unintuitive as crap. Same for some other channels.

I also hope there's an option to toggle these timestamps off...

Also a reply function would be good, so you don't have to right click their name etc.
Quit after Legion, rejoined PoE to see what the game's like now in 3.12.

it only get's confusing if you actually put it into a programming context. just see pointers as hint towards direction, it doesn't mater where they are placed:

<-@-> communication away from the player
->@<- towards the player

and don't get me wrong, i like the change if it helps people in general.

the only thing that disturbs me is that "@to" and "@from" have a different length which disturbs the left side offset of the message content and makes it less readable.

Yeah, the directional arrows might be logical, but for some reason doesn't work with me. As for the programming example, i gave it because it's exactly the same and it made me so frustrated... I still haven't learned which command goes with which "<" ">". ANYWAY, i like "to" and "from" exactly because of their length and differences. The length helps me exclude lines of the chat and more clearly see which message is from me, and which message is from the other person. While the @<-- and @--> and kind of hard to spot INSTANTLY. It's like cancer facebook posts where they put a bunch of 999999999899999999 and they say "find the 8". it's a lot harder than to include for example red colored 9 and blue colored 8. :P That's how i see it and that's why it bothers me. In the end i win, because it will be updated to my liking :D

p.s.: have you played any game or have you used any chat with a similar to "to" and "from" whisper system? because idk if you're talking out of experience or just sharing your opinion about how the new chat looks to you. if you haven't used anything like that, then i wish you that you like it more than the -> and <- :D
I might be an asshole, but at least I am toxic.

Maybe this is a dumb question but is there a way to change the time stamp for those of us that aren't in the military?

What are you talking about? That is the main way to write a timestamp in most countries in the world. HH:MM, having the hours be 24h based, intead of that AM/PM nonsense...

It is a almost universal and instantly undertood system... The only country I can remember that doesn't default to this is the USA, which are always out of sync with the rest of the world when it comes to measuring units and notations.

Here in Canada we also use am/pm. Not sure what YOU find confusing about 4:20a or 4:20p.
I am really not as bad as they say I am.

I am actually a really nice person.

24h system is absolute. 12h AM/PM simpified system is relative.

Those who understand initial 24h system (nothing military about it) usually get both systems and don't complain about using either of them.
Those who understand only the child-age 12h system are always bitching around due to the lack of intelligence.

For me the nonsense is in those 'to' and 'from'. How dumb should one be to not understand the '->' and '<-' markers? Guess it's kinda the same issue as with the AM/PM vs. 24h.

disagree, just ask any european whether 12am is 12 midnight or 12 midday.

and if they got it right just ask them why 12pm (12 hours post meridiem == 12 hours after midday) is actually 12 midday...
