Some great submissions so far! Here's mine.

The blue woman: "Seriously? Look at this guy. He just tried to stab a skeleton with a sword. What does he think is going to happen?"

What's the point of me being here? The necromancer will just revive the other ones, he doesn't need me. Why am I always so useless?

What he failed to realize is that the Virtue Gems don't corrupt the user using some mysterious force. Instead, the gems give their wielders just a sampling of power; forever dooming them to seek out ever greater potential until they find themselves in the Belly of the Beast. Until they are willing to do anything for just another taste.
