[2.6 / 3.0] BLADE VORTEX OBLITERATION
" It depends.. I believe that if you really want to reserve any mana, you should use blasphemy with temporal chains and/or enfeeble. Otherwise just leave it unreserved and use MoM to increase your EHP. " It's not that much of a problem, but it's a bit boring for the first 30-40 levels, since you are not taking any damage node at the beginning. But at this point in the league, when levelling items (like tabula rasa, lifespring and so on) are easily obtainable, you can barely notice the problem. " Thanks. I got super a super lucky vaal and made this Going with temp chains, enfeeble, vulnerability (from witchfire brew). |

" As lallalaus said, levelling items are easily accessible. I levelled with whatever melee weapons I had and Sunder/Ice Crash with maybe five points invested into melee damage nodes in the beginning. Around 30-40 I started trying Blade Vortex and had its normal problem of great damage... in a small area that limits clear speed. Bladefall was a little better and I think I tried Firestorm too. At L36 you can equip Amplification Rod which is a ghetto 6L that's better than (non-corrupted) Tabula at that level and will make any AoE spell very strong. At L56 when you can equip Obliteration is when it begins to shine and clear speed improves. |

Why do a lot of people use magic items though? Did I miss something in this league that made magic items great?

" It's the Hidden Potential jewel, it gives increased damage for each magic item equiped. |

Couple questions:
1. What is the best helmet enchant for bosses? Increased BV duration (more blades = more damage), increased BV damage, or increased temp chains effect (increases the poison duration, although curses have less effect on bosses) 2. What are the best damage jewel mods? I think top priority are increased damage, increased area damage, and increased chaos for double dipping, but what is after that? Increased phys or increased DOT? " 1- Increased Temporal Chains effect is really strong and probably the best one (combination of offensive and defensive bonus), but also the blade vortex ones are cool (all 3 choices offer some good bonuses). All in all I do not think there's any mandatory helm enchant for this build, don't go too crazy for that, even more considering how expensive they can be. 2- As you can read in the jewels paragraph (in the gear breakdown), those three affixes are the best ones. Then there are phys damage, spell damage (normal and while dual wielding) and DoT damage, in no particular order, since the damage difference between those is actually negligible. " Sorry I missed the jewels paragraph, thanks for the explanation! |

Finally achieved 40/40 challenges in Legacy SC. (Most challenges achieved using this build)
Did deathless Shaper, Chayula and Uber Atziri with it. Currently on my way to lvl 98 (still need 45%). Here is my gear:

For phys reflect maps: For end game bosses (Faster Casting instead of Spell Echo) Overall, build is very strong, cheap, and extremely satisfying to play with due to Obliteration's chain reaction explosions. I did a few minor changes on my passive tree, but most of it is exactly the same as OPs guide. Here is my passive tree: Last edited by KaioNS#1125 on Apr 9, 2017, 5:10:06 AM
