[2.6 / 3.0] BLADE VORTEX OBLITERATION
Oh, it's super easy to get 1m dps, when you're using a 7-link
I don't think Brutality is the way to go with the build. I'm just wondering if anyone has experimented much with the links, now that 3.0 has launched with several new supports. I'm using Efficacy right now, and it is solid all around. It hits every point we need. I am thinking of forgoing Cospri's entirely, since we have natural 60% poison chance on the tree... I am thinking Poison Support will scale our damage nicely, but maybe Lesser Poison could be better due to the flat damage (not sure yet). Also, how ridiculous is Vile Toxins in this build? I have Haemophilia right now for the dot damage, but I'm about to swap it out (it dropped for me). Maligaro's Cruelty looks solid, especially w/ the blood dance. I think Dendrobate+Doedre's Damning is more or less going to be my goal. It looks too OP. |

" Oviously brutality is not the way to go, since you would sacrifice pretty much all your damage (chaos and potentially elemental conversion). As far as I'm concerned the two best and more balanced options are the one I listed in the initial post, under the 3.0 spoiler at the beginning. Probably the best to play this build is forgoing poison and just invest into the upfront damage (with hatred and stuff). Abyssal Volatile Poet: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2057243

Maybe so, but I really enjoyed it played with Dendrobate to stack poison, that way, I can zip in and out of packs and they still die. No poison, and I have to stand around taking hits until they die. I ran Temp Chains and Vulnerability on Blasphemy, but honestly you could easily replace Temp Chains with Enfeeble. It worked very very well.
Also for clearing, I played with EK Nova (great for open areas) and Bladefall (10,000x better in close quarters maps, and anything with doors). Literally I only changed the active spell from BV to Bladefall and it worked wonders. Harder/high life bosses definitely need BV for quicker kills, but Bladefall affords you the ability to dodge easily and shoot from afar while still stacking up massive poison. Next league, I'll see if I can make the build work with similar effectiveness as Occultist and skipping Obliteraitons entirely (I want to Shield Charge dammit) |

Are you still updating your passive trees,, i see alot missing passives in your tree,,a few skips or perhaps havent been messed with lately,, I was hoping to dust off a Oblit build that i had during prophecy that looks pretty much like yours, Ive been away from PoE for about a year and the changes along with just about a dozen remove tabs to sort through has been a job,,anyhow I had my old passives saved but lost everything during a windows reinstall,, I was hoping your guide would get me real close given my gear and skills, supports appears right inline with your guide,,I looked at your path of building pastebin and those appear to be the ones you have updated,, but i noticed you did not take many chaos damage passives at all in the path of building tree verses the older 2.6 and earlier, tree.
Is this build still working in 3.0, It used to be pretty safe and alot of fun with the scaling making it easy to run most of the low to mid tier stuff, Im hoping its still ok for just simple currency farming on my standard character,,I plan on waiting until the next league before doing anything new since harbinger is about over, anyway thx for keeping your guide up,,making things so much better after being gone awhile. Remember when high end gear was really high end !
Classic Audio all the way, olderthandirt and twice as Grizzly :) |

" At this moment I'm not really updating it. With the Fall of Oriath expansion and many BV reworks I believe the build lost some power, not just numerically speaking, but the playstyle is just not as smooth as it was before. As you've seen the only updated parts of the build are the starting ones in the 3.0 spoiler, in which you can find those path of building trees and setup. If you wanna invest in the "upfront damage" version, it's not really that worth investing in chaos damage nodes (since it's just 40% of your overall damage). If you follow the other route, it's just better to invest into specific poison nodes. Abyssal Volatile Poet: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2057243
