I noticed that increased duration does not affect decoy totem, is this intended?

Yes.

Character Balance
  • Modifiers to skill duration no longer modify the duration of traps, totems or mines, but will continue to modify the duration of skills cast by traps, totems and mines if those skills have a duration.

Bugger if I know why, though (and Mark_GGG rarely comments on reasons for balance changes. He may make an exception here, though)!

Hi all

If i get Avatar of Fire using Infernal Blow (100% fire dmg), i'll lose all my physical life leech from itens and tree?

And.. if i lose leech from physical, i can only gain leech from "attack damage", without physical, like Spirit and Vitality void node on passive tree?

Yes, Leech is a function of damage actually dealt. Avatar of Fire means you definitely deal no physical damage, which grants you no Leech.

You will gain leech from those sources. There are also other sources of Leech that will apply to your Fire Attack Damage. "x% of damage leeched as life" (exists on Life Leech Support, a boot enchantment, and probably some other places) works because your Fire Attack Damage is indeed Damage. "x% of Fire Damage Leeched as Life" (Catarina crafts, Doryani's Invitation unique belt, used to be an amulet corrupted implicit, but not sure if it's still a corrupted implicit) will also work because your Fire Attack Damage is indeed Fire Damage.

Is the critical hit chance for a trap thrown with cluster trap calculated for each individual trap, or do they all get the same roll when they're thrown?

The critical chance roll is only made once, when the skill is used. However, whether the hit will be a critical strike is actually determined at the moment the skill hits an enemy, since the chance to crit can potentially be different for different enemies (think Assassin's Mark curse). In general, assuming completely identical enemies, either all targets will be crit, or none will. But this is not always the case.

Example
You use a skill, and the game rolls a random number between 1 and 100. Let's say 35.

One enemy is hit by the skill, and you have a 30% chance to crit against that enemy. Since the roll, 35, is more than the chance to crit, this enemy will not get crit.

But another enemy is cursed by a level 20 Assassin's Mark, so your critical hit chance against that enemy is 39%. Since that is more than your critical roll, this enemy will get crit by the skill.

So if I use a skill, once, and it throws four traps (using cluster trap), does the critical number get rolled once and applied to all traps (e.g. each traps gets a roll of 35, my crit chance is 30% so no crit) or is the critical number rolled for each trap individually when it uses its skill (e.g. each trap gets its own roll, my crit chance is 30%, some traps might crit and others might not)?
IRON MAN
My Question is: On Indigon it is worded: for every X mana you spend you gain increased spell power. Does spending also mean Mind over matter or just mana used by skills?

Thanks for replies <3
Would traps inherit "Your Hits can't be Evaded by Blinded Enemies" when wearing the effigon?

No; Spending Mana is specifically using a skill and paying the cost with your Mana.

(I don't think reserving mana by turning on an aura counts either, but I am not 100% sure about that.)

Yes; "your hits" means "hits by your skills", and traps use your skills. The penetration works with skills used by traps as well for the same reason.
Hi there,

I have a question about a weapon.
The weapon has a mod: socketed gems are supported by lvl 18 brutality.

Questions:

1. Is this for ALL sockets across all equipped gear or ONLY the gems in the weapon?

2. For Brutality support gem:

Supported skills deal no elemental damage.
Supported skills deal no chaos damage.

Does this include from potions as well?

Scenario

Sunder is my main skill. It is located in my chest armor. If I use the above mentioned weapon, will sunder be part of the 'support'. AND will I be able to use elemental damage and chaos damage from potions?

Thank you.
There's devils on each side of you with bottles in their hands.
You need one more drop of poison and you'll dream of foreign lands.

Only for gems socketed in the item with that modifier.

It includes all damage done by the supported skill. It does not matter where the damage comes from. So if you have, for example, Atziri's Promise adding chaos damage to Sunder, this chaos damage will be ignored if you support Sunder with Brutality.

Hi all

How useful is Ruthless Blow? It's only good for stun on 3rd hit?
I'm testing on Infernal Blow, and gems like Melee Phys damage and add fire damage, deal more damage, altogether, than Ruthless support.

So, can someone explain me what purpose of Ruthless Support?
