another question on Spectral Shield Throw (attack, projectile)
what does really increase dps with SST ? I noticed that "global physical damage" does not do a lot of buff, almost none. for example with "path of the warrior" or random jewel with "increase damage" or "global physical damage" it seems doesnt improve at all. I just know that this skill is considered a "projectile". so, what stat should i check for improve my dps? im using a gladiator with bleeding physical based damage. thank you Last edited by ThoryX#1076 on Mar 5, 2018, 3:49:27 AM

" Well, I did not test it, but I guess your main increase in damage comes from having a high armour or evasion on your shield. Note that Increased Defenses from Shield nodes will not increase your damage, as it does not effectively modify your shield itself. Otherwise, it is tagged as projectile and deals physical damage, so your tree should probably include global physical damage nodes, attack speed nodes, and projectile damage nodes... This does not seem to be triggering the endurance charges, I am running Ancestral Warchief with Herald of Ash. Thought the ash would mean I am causing some enemies to burn but have not got one endurance charge after 10 mins of running around. Any help |

Hi!
I have a question regarding the interaction of Shrapnel Shot and Chin Sol. In 3.2 the wording for the close range modifier to damage on Chin Sol changed from '100% More Bow Damage at Close Range' to '100% More Damage with Arrow Hits at Close Range' Does anyone know if this is a purely formal rewording or it actually means that the 100% more multiplier now only applies to the arrow part of Shrapnel Shot, and not the arrow and the cone? When you or your totem kill a burning enemy, 20% chance to gain an endurance charge.
Thats what the ascendancy says, so should they not be burning from the Herald of Ash overkill damage and so giving a small chance of gaining an endurance charge. |

" Oops, I missed the mention of Tawhoa as an ascendancy. I think the totem isn't affected by Herald of Ash, which provides a buff that says : " Not "you or your totems", just "you". While you are buffed, the totem isn't, so it never causes enemies to burn. " Orb of storms will work, as long as you spend enough mana to trigger Arcane Surge. I recommend playing a low-level Arcane Surge gem, as you probably don't want to spam Orb of Storms. Despair won't do, however, as it does not inflict damage to enemies. However, it does this by way of Damage over Time (a debuff on the enemy), as opposed to dealing Hits. That's the distinction that matters :> Damage actually doesn't matter: Hits that deal zero Damage do apply on-Hit effects. EDIT: NAMES ARE DIFFICULT. The mechanical distinction is still relevant to note, but I had the wrong skill in mind. I'm super skillist: all Chaos skills sound alike to me. ok thanks for the reply, I was hoping to get lots of endurance charges, that aint going to happen now, dam might have to respec ascendancy
