Mechanical Questions Thread

I need a clarification on whether it is possible to get +1 to socketed gems, +2 to socketed bow gems and +2 to socketed fire gems on the same bow using Shrieking Essence of Rage/ Deafening Essence of Rage.
This will seem like an idiotic question, but why is it I can't dual wield a mace with a wand?

I was hoping to try out singularity along with my void battery, but it won't let me.

At the moment, PoE can't handle dualwielding melee and ranged weapons together.

Just wondering why i cant unlock Crystal veins map and the bonus in my atlas. I done it many time both normal magic and rare. I have unlocked the other maps Close to it, Factory and channel.

It does overwrites because only one implicit is allowed. You have a choice to make.

You need an active skill gem with a duration tag for rapid decay to be "supported". Then if that skill has the capacity to apply poison (physical and/or chaos damage) then yes.

Related question:

Let's say I use Bear Trap and link it with Poison. Bear Trap has a "Duration" tag but doesn't actually do any DoT damage. Will Rapid Decay benefit both the base damage of Bear Trap or just the Poison inflicted after the initial trap trigger?

Rapid decay should affect all forms of "damage over time" that the bear trap deals. But it doesn't deal any damage over time by default. But say, you used added fire and it crit and ignited the enemy. Then yes, it would affect the ignite damage.

I have a question - does the "Nearby enemies have -20% chaos resistance" from Void Beacon on Occultist stack with multiple players? What about the "Enemies you curse take 10% increased damage?"
