LiftingNerdBro Reveals Three New Unique Jewels!

will this be prophecy league only? or will these jewels also drop in normal hardcore?
GGG devs are in:

builds with 30+ attack/sec with 600% ele,250%hp,200% armour,9e.charges are viable right now

ok so they work way differently then just having a 6% ele damage node bc by that math it would stack together.

but usually don't points calculate separate. so if having 10 of those wouldnt the 6% calculate independently at first not together. meaning that each of them wouldnt actually be adding together like the math in video said. it wouldn't be that exact total as say 600% flat. each gem is a seperate entity meaning they would add 6 x 10 would be 60% of ele dmg for each one. meaning it would be lower then most people are thinking. if it works like most passives do in tree. ya the total amount is 600% but the math is actually added per and the gems arnt added together before the math.

unless it really is like the video says and they do add up in a 600% before each of the gems is added to the final answer.

so the math in video is 6% x 10 x 10 equal 600%

but the way passives been working is 6% of that gem times the amount of gems which is 10 so that be 60% so each gem at 10 gems would be 60% each time. some people are probably thinking after the video you are going to get a flat 600% which is way more then 60% more ele damage at 10 gems.

unless im wrong and u do get the 600& bc that's flat and would be alot more especially if base ele damage is 100.

Man,i didn't understand a thing from what you're trying to say.
It's like the video says. It would have been corrected by GGG if it wasn't so.
Each jewel will grand 6% ele dmg * number of jewels.
10 jewels? 600% total.
15 jewels? 1350% total.

ok what i meant was that each jewel is 6% and it says for each gem u have. so if u have 1 gem u get 6% if u have 10 that make it 60% so each gem gives u 60% and math is done for each gem and isnt added together when doing the math.

so it be more like with 10 gems
60% 60% 60% 60% 60% 60% 60% 60% 60% 60%. each being done separate to the total of ele damage
then just getting a flat 600% of the total ele damage.
there is a big difference in the math and passives are usually separately calculated then just adding them up all together and doing it that way.

I see what you mean now, maybe it was my bad before.
That would be the case if it was more damage.
But it is increased damage. Two very different concepts in poe.
So either you calculate them one by one, (60% +60% ...) or 60% * 10 it's the same.
Increased damage nodes are added and the total is what matters.
More damage would be another story.

Are you thinking about additive bonuses becoming less effective the more you have? That does not change the math. Additive bonuses are always added together flat, so it works just the same as bonuses on the passive tree. But the more additive bonuses you have, the less impactful they become (going from 540 % to 600 % is only an increase of 11.1 %).

It's possible that each subsequent jewel doesn't affect previous jewels but has exponential growth.
The same way passives don't affect previous passives taken.

Meaning if all elemental damage jewels:

Jewel 1: 6%
Jewel 2: 12%
Jewel 3: 18% etc.

So the result at 10 elemental jewels would be 330% rather than 600% increased damage.

It would certainly make more sense balance wise than the monstrosity it's been presented as.

It would make more sense but for now it is 6% for every jewel * number of jewels.
It will get nerfed next patch for sure,it's just a bait for quitters to install game again imo. Remember vinktar's...
Let's see if there will be a legacy.
Prepare for some pretty ridiculous builds in 2.3...
Path of armor confirmed
