In prophecy you're introducing a consumable/tradable bonus that lets players roll enchants twice per lab run. Standard will not get this for 3+ months, and perhaps not ever. It's arguable that more casual play-time players frequent standard, as starting over with nothing in new leagues every 3 months isn't casual friendly. The upcoming grind expectation is concerning.

nobody plays standard league so dw
As a player with a horrible connection that even now can't do merciless lab reliably (if at all), This has no effect on me other than adding to the content I can't play.

As of now builds are done at 80 / 4 , I map until about tier 8 before the margin for error vs lag become's to great (all the while avoiding bad maps / boss combos).

So yea, good to see content coming out but the direction towards more game play with no tolerance for lag just excludes more people than it includes (in my opinion).

You poll only proves that 53% voted for 1-5 (they do not like the labyrinth) and 47% voted for 6-10.

Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum - That's nature for you.
So. I'm playing since closed beta now.
Let's see what major issues GGG fixed since then.
Desync is mostly gone (I live in Germany, servers are fine for 99% of the time). That's great, but it took really freakin long to do that.
If overall performance and fps drops for no apparent reason will take the same amount of time to fix it I rather stop playing the game. I hope this hasn't to do anything with the game's engine.

I posted this here so GGG is aware of this and maybe thinks about shifting their developing priorities to the core game for some time rather than dishing out beta state content to cash in on new players who stop playing the game due poor performance after some hours. As Mr. Wilson said many times: "most players don't even get to Brutus". I loved the closed beta back then. It was a true beta, not a game demo like many AAA games released nowadays, and things changed as feedback from the (mostly) competent community came in. To any new player reading this: Take your time with the game. It has so much more to offer than the things you experience in a few hours.

To comment on the news itself: I actually like to fact that you are listening to Ziggy's discussions in some of his videos as his critique of the game is mostly constructive. What I don't like is that another lab will make the game even more tedious for "veteran" players than it is at the moment. The league itself sounds great, tbh, even better than perandus itself was.

Use more surveys to find out what people acutally want. The 2 week league's survey showed that many people like that kind of community interaction.
At last, please use the next 3 months to work on the game's major performance problems. Please.
Thank you for your patience.

I see a lot of complaints about RNG and that people don't like the labyrinth.

First RNG is here to stay and makes the game fun, I would not play it if there was no RNG. It's what motivates us to go forward because of the probability that some time bang something great will drop or Boom that enchantment is great for my build etc.

Because almost everything is tradeable, i don't think that GGG can make it too much accessible either to get the enchantments we want. Making things account bound like diablo 3 would remove a lot of what makes path of exile unique.

For people that don't like lab.

I understand that it is mandatory in a sense because you would not want to play a character without ascendancy points right.

But completing quests in each 3 difficulty is also mandatory to progress to maps.

GGG can't just remove it because you don't like it.

What would the game become if you don't have RNG anymore and you do whatever you want no quest to do etc. Oh yea it would become d3.

I don't like lab (but it feels great to get that ascendancy), I don't like the master missions (oh thanks haku you can craft the res i needed im glab i did ur missions). I don't like doing all 3 difficulties (Grand daddy crab thx for the skill point) before maps and damn RNG can be frustrating sometimes.

BUT PLEASE KEEP ALL OF THESE because it makes the rewards and the rest more enjoyable.
What level is the labyrinth fam? I'm trying to understand clearly lulz. It opens 6 portals. Does that mean im allowed 6 rips? what if im carrying someone lol and I rip to op hax izaro.. can they port me to that location? I just wanna know :D.
To everyone complaining immensely about the addition of a 4th lab - you realize it is not mandatory to run it right? At this point in time Chris Wilson said they were not going to be nerfing existing ascendancy classes to shit so that 8 points = 6.. 8 point will help to perfect the build more. With how strong most things are, the 2 additional points isn't going to change much. You were already 1 shorting white and blue packs, are you now going to...half shot them...?

If you don't like the lab don't grind it. Helmet enchants are cool, just like a shavs is cool. If you want a shavs you have to be willing to grind as its a strong item, so if you want an OP helmet enchant why should that be free and easy? I personally don't like the lab and won't be running it outside of getting the ascendancy points. Just view it as an extra quest with benefits. Doing Solaris on the way to unlock all the shit to get to piety is tedious, no one complains about that though as its just a quest in the game. View the lab like that
For me, the issue isn't RNG in an of itself or gating content behind RNG but gating character progression behind RNG. The decision to gate ascendancy points behind RNG is just bad. Unless you make a lab runner, who would voluntarily run the uber lab more than once per character?
any word on area level?
