The Endgame Labyrinth

What gets me is that the very idea of the labryinth split the community seemingly 50/50%...Im sure more people than not ran it out of obligation because the cool builds were locked behind it, but we did
it begrudgingly. The overall feeling is probably more 50/50.

...

Yet, they expand on it! They think we love the godamn thing so much that we want more shit centered around it. Its unreal. I'll be sitting out prophecy. Maybe I'll sink my teeth into the next D3 season. At least the endgame is literally the same thing as leveling, only harder. No stupid traps or shit to avoid.

Maybe after that they will get the friggin hint: We don't want POE endgame to be centered around their make-shift platform bullshit.

We need those 4 guys in that other thread to come and do some math. I'm over 4 or 5, and losing count.

Lol this game is turning into soul reaver.

Hopefully that's not true. Sounds pretty dumb.

GGG is trying to lose players instead of winning players?

More Trouble for HC ??

for a 4 + maze difficult yet ??

If it's for me to play standard I come back to play D3

#sorry

I should never have invested money in this game

sad...

I love HC in PoE but... now is to much

+6 Trials randoms

1 chance of enter in 4th lab
or farm and pay?

Bullshit

The emphasized lines are the only two I want to address (the rest is perfectly valid opinion).

The first is paying: Did you have fun commensurate with the money spent? If yes, then why regret spending it? Even if you don't like the direction things are heading, if you had fun up until then, then there's nothing wrong with having given GGG money to thank them for the fun you had.

The second is that if you complete the trials yourself you get 6 chances to enter the 4th lab because you completed 6 trials. Not just 1 chance.

I would agree with you entirely but they had 4 labs planned from the beginning - this one was probably being worked on before Ascendancy shipped - so it seems a lot to ask to think they'd scrap the whole project. I'd hope that if they were doing it all over again they would have done the lab and trials very differently.

We have also improved the rewards at the end of side content in the Labyrinth, to make those areas more enticing.

There are a new set of six Trials...

...trade for people who have incidentally completed the trials while playing maps.

Note that while item that allows access to the Endgame Labyrinth is used...

Six portals is opened...

...there are a fourth tier...

Are they not letting you sleep?

Thank you, I was just coming to do the same. I'll type it out the way I think it was supposed to be:

By the time you gain access to the Endgame Labyrinth, you'll be able to run it at least six times. After that point, you'll need to either complete more Trials or trade with other players for more of these special items.

Note that while an item that allow access to the Endgame Labyrinth is opened with the Map Device, it technically isn't a map, so Zana mods and sacrifice fragments don't affect it. It is not the same thing as the new Plaza Map base type that we're also adding. Because the endgame Labyrinth is not a map, the monsters in it do not drop maps higher than Tier 1 (although the zone level is greater than 68). However, you can get higher maps out as a reward if you pick the right chest at the end.

You can play the Endgame Labyrinth with a party. Six portals are opened, just like a map. The entrance is an "airlock" like the other difficulties, so the full party must enter together. There are a few new surprises that you'll encounter when playing this Labyrinth. We'll be watching Twitch with interest ;-)

Rewards
As the Endgame Labyrinth is the fourth Labyrinth you'll play through, there is a fourth tier of rewards. Completing it unlocks two additional Ascendancy points (for a total of eight). You'll also be able to imbue an item with a fourth-tier Enchantment. There's also a fourth jewel reward for the fastest player to complete the Endgame Labyrinth in each league each day.

In addition, the treasure chests at the end of the Labyrinth are higher level than the Merciless ones and some of them can drop higher-tier maps.
Why GGG are You destroying what you tried to start???!!!???!??!?
I'm pretty excited to see that the Labyrinth is being extended in a sense - the new challenges and prizes that follow should be interesting.

I am, however, a bit worried that we may encounter yet another potential redundant feature in grinding for X enchant, just like the current Labyrinth.

As others have echoed in their posts, it can be frustrating to have to re-run a multi-layered instance in hopes of obtaining a specific reward, or in this instance, an enchant. The fact that there's a large pool of total enchants, and that the enchant selection is randomized, makes a fun endeavor morph into one that is tedious and hate-worthy.

Please, if there's any sort of reasonable compromise to be made, make it so and don't let the Endgame Labyrinth fall into the same... trap...!
It's a grind, it's part of the game guys!
Chris said it himself this wasn't meant to be for everyone! You're not special enough!
I'm still at awe about the Chaos Conversion...I was REALLY planning on using Chaos Ice Trap for the leagues to come...Hope 60% is still somewhat good.

This might be too out there, but I think you might be able to trade people to get items with the enchantments you want on them.

You could even do that instead of grinding something until you hate yourself to get 8% more of a stat.
