I was really digging it... until you decided to make the sword active during Rampage, which makes it useless during some boss fights. I really dislike conditional effects >:(

Thats a big ass sword right there and a beautiful curved one. The name and art screams of D&D class Dervish and the Falchion 2h sword (a plus +1 if you indeed were a little inspired by it). Absolutely amazing theme and design Rhys, a way a unique should be, UNIQUE.
6s=6l seems a bit strong especially since you said that the values were a bit generous themselves without the "need" to invest in minion nodes. If an exception was made for this skill and it works with Cast on Melee Kill that would be great (only with CoMK though no CoC, CoD and other triggers), so great in fact that the whole 6s=6l aspect could be instantly removed due to OPness. This item offers an incentive to built around it, cause the mechanic is totally new and exciting and interesting and refreshing and, fuck, it looks awesome. Wonderful read, thanks for sharing.
The item is well designed mechanic-wise, it fulfills an unique fun niche, and makes you think about the possibilities (COMK shenanigans maybe?). Based on the info we have, its hard to say how well the weapon will actually do end-game. The only thing I really don't like about the design is the fact its useless against strong bosses, because the rampage can't be maintained. While this is the point where you would need it the most. In my opinion it should be adjusted along the following lines: " This way it allows for more synergy with all kinds of items, nodes, ascendancy classes. For example, you could use a Silver Flask to summon the Dervish on command during tough boss fights. |
