Lab is boring

Made a new char.. or should i say respeced my forgotten marauder..
Went really fast to lvl 68.. did no lab runs..

Decided to run normal lab, and first had to do trials.
I had waypoints and did the trials pretty fast(they should give you 2 ascendancy points per dificulty)

Went into normal lab, breezed through it even though i havent played since release.
Its not too difficult, its just plain boring and counter to how most of us play the game.

Im super fast, super mobile, super dps, super everything... lab constant loading, and million of passages, and useless trap mechanics wear me out...

I feel so disgusted with my char i cant get my self to play it anymore, let alone go to lab 2 more times so i can finish my ascension plan.

My suggestion, as said above in brackets:

Trials award ascendancy points, and we can pick the class with a button in the passive tree
Labyrinth stays for that ladder you have and for the enchants. Add more enchants for other item slots.

No one would complain, people who love lab can still do it with all the benefits.
People who dont like it, could finish trials only and be free to progress further.

Win - win.

R.I.P 4.B.
So you went into a level 33 zone at level 68 and complain that it is too easy?

I thought i wrote what my issue is.
To make it short, its not the difficulty that bothers me (hard or easy) its the tedium of it all.

When i said its easy, i used it to illustrate that even though its super easy its super boring to do it.
AKA if its easy, doesnt mean its fun or productive or in line with the rest of poe

But, i somehow feel that with your comment you decided to single one thing out and bash me in the head with it. Feel free to continue. Reading seems to be your weakness.
Well anything that is super easy will obviously be super boring. Do it at level 33 and it will be more interesting...?

Try doing act4 normal at level 70, it will be super boring as well. What I am saying is, it is obviously pretty useless to judge level 33 content when you are running it at level 68. Or can you tell me any sub-level-40 content in this game that you would actually like to do at level 68+? I certainly can't.

It is not the easiness that brings the boredom, it is the actual process of moving and advancing through the labyrinth.

Most of the people who do not like the labyrinth do not have a problem with the difficulty, and i do not have it too. Its not the difficulty that made me wait for lvl 68 to play it, it is the simple task of doing content that is contrary to all of POE that made me skip it as far as can. If it were optional i would never touch it. Not at lvl 1 or at lvl 100.

Let me state this again, since you have serious issue with comprehension.
Easy or hard, overleveled or underleveled, labyrinth is boring like no other zone or map is.
It is not challenging in a way that takes skills, it slows you down and presents the sort of gameplay that is most found in other genres.

This comes down to the core of PoE. Dodging traps to find keys, and doors that wont open till you navigate the content. It is simply what i do not want, and by the looks of it many players dont want it either.
Poe comes down to advancing your character and murdering everything that stands before you. It was like this for years, and it is the way we got used to it. And even if we didnt, most people who come to play ARPGs do not want endless hallways that are blocked off by things that cant be killed, aka traps and doors.

Did i make my self clear to you bro? i hope i did. I mainly responded so other people who dont get it can have closure, since i still believe that you are pulling my leg.
Cheerio, and i wont comment again here, feedback is for the devs, what players think of it is less relevant in this subforum.

Actually, you're absolutely correct, there are some people that are completely incapable of understanding that Labyrinth is boring tedious and not fun to some other people.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
I am perfectly capable of comprehension, no worries. I can see that some people don't like the lab, no problem there. All I am saying is that judging content when you are severely overleveled is just not really possible. I could run my level 90 character to all of Cruel and would find ALL of it boring. There is nothing interesting if it is just walking around. It is about as interesting as backtracking from the end of a Gorge to the beginning to get the master to give you credit, because it offers about the same challenge.

BTW I find the lab very interesting and challenging when done at the right level, and boring once I am severely overleveled. I just wish the normal mobs would be harder (at the time when you can safely kill Izaro, the trash is completely meaningless) and that there was a higher level (75-80) version of it, to keep my characters challenged.

+1 OP, and also for sticking up for yourself in later posts when somebody tried to "reinterpret" what you wrote as meaning something other than what you stated in very clear terms.

I can empathize with the boredom. I also find Lab tedious, just as a lot of others do.

I was thinking earlier that an Izaro fight after Malachai might "justify" Ascension. But, I've heard a number of others suggesting "Malachai defeats = Ascension points" and "Trials yield Ascension points" and I tend to agree with them as well.

Anything that takes the tedious Lab out of the Ascension picture would be more than fine by me.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?
