[2.4 VIDEO] #1 Pathfinder PHC - Blade Vortex flask build. Uber atziri video. Easy lvling
How are the Blade Vortex stacks generated? From what I can see in the videos, they're generated automatically once you start fighting.

Thank you for the build! It's been a great start to essence league!
Quick question, if I only have a 5L Carcass and an added light damage Vinktar, would it be wise to switch added fire for P2L? I'm considering trying this for better single target capability. Also, another question, any thoughts on Maligaro's vs high life/armor gloves? (my res are 165% without gloves) Last edited by LittleGlaze#2210 on Sep 17, 2016, 1:48:35 PM

What is about the Fatal Toxins ? Or do we dont have so much points to get this in the end?
50% increased Damage with Poison sound very good. --- Ps, could you please have a look on my char -Snow_the_bastard. What would you buy next? I think would take Clear Mind -> vinktar -> 5l -> ( have only ~50ch at the moment) Last edited by iDT#4783 on Sep 17, 2016, 1:57:49 PM

" I don't think going all-in on Poison is the best idea. 50% from Fatal Toxin sounds like a lot, but base poison is, I believe, 8% of your phys/chaos damage added as a DoT, so 50% increased would be 4% more total damage as poison which isn't that substantial - it's not a horrible node but I don't think it's worth the 6 or so passive points it would take to reach it. As for gear, if I were you I'd just keep saving currency and running easy/safe maps until you have the essential components, trying to push harder maps or bosses might be difficult. I'd get Clear Mind first since it's fairly cheap and goes hand-in-hand with Essence Worm, even a low spell damage % one is fine to start with. Atziri's Promise flask is another great item to have early on, by now there are enough people farming Atziri that these flasks are quite cheap, it gives you some extra leech, damage, and chaos resist. As for Vinktars vs 5L, unless you get the P2L conversion Vinktars you kind of need both the 5L and a (bad) Vinktar at the same time so you can socket in a P2L support gem, if you try it on a 4L your damage will be quite awful. Try finding a cheap white 5L item, any with Evasion/ES so you can socket 4B1G, then just use a Screaming or Shrieking Essence of Greed on it to get ~100+ life. You should be able to pick up a generic white 5L very cheaply at this point in the league. Then go for the cheapest Vinktars you can find and run Phys to Lightning support in your 5L. This was basically the path I took to start off with and it worked out amazingly. Other personal opinions: Divinarius isn't needed, you can make a cheap crafted dagger on a "Platinum Kris" type base (has 80% global crit implicit) and then use a Screaming or Shrieking Essence of Woe to get a nice spell damage roll on it, and then hopefully have open mods to craft Crit Multi as well, or you can craft Cast Speed on same dagger base with Essence of Misery (since you can't normally get Cast Speed rolls on a Dagger any other way) and then hopefully get some good rolls and craft what's missing - point is you can make a great dagger fairly cheaply, and with a little luck, rather than spending it on Divinarius early on. Once you have all of that I'd go for Rumis, with your flask efficiency you get quite a bump in defenses; with my 22% block rare shield, when I pop my 26/15 Rumis I get 61% block/23% spell block which is quite nice. Then I'd go for Rathpith next for more spellblock/spell damage. You can also craft fairly nice shields with spell damage/spell crit/life which is what I used for the first couple weeks of the league but I think eventually you want a Rathpith for the extra spellblock, and the other stats on it (40-60% spell damage and 10% life) are somewhat comparable with a crafted shield anyway. After that I'd compare prices between a basic white 6L chest (same principle as 5L mentioned above) and a Taste of Hate. You should be able to get a white 6L much cheaper than a ToH, and then use same essence mentioned to get a +100 life roll on it; once you're 6L'd you get a nice damage boost. After that you can begin saving for the most extravagant purchases. Phys-to-Light conversion Vinktars so you can remove the P2L support gem in your link, and a ToH. If you accomplish all of that perhaps consider a 6L Carcass Jack as icing on the cake but I don't think Carcass is needed for this build to function. " Nooooooo. A 6L Carcass is worth way more than a Vinktars. Keep that shit. |
|
So, after a few changes in 2.4, how much was this build nerfed, or is it still like before?
I'm gonna run it in EHC, buget is about 1100 chaos, so i guess i'll get all what i need |

" OP uses the Jewel that gives 40-60% spell damage, but only when no mana is reserved. Which is why he runs Hatred on the Essence Wurm ring as well. I'm with you though, as well as a few others. The damage boost from the Jewel may not be worth running blasphemy and WM. Especially for the less veteran players who have a hard time keeping track of all the things you've got to do to keep this build effective |

"\ You should try out blade vortex and you will understand how the stacks are generated. But to save you time, you have to USE the skill and it will generate one stack per cast (2 if you're using spell echo). |
