For those wondering about the lore:
Originally, the lore hinted at Daresso and Merveil as being from Wraeclast. In Awakening 2.0, it was clarified Daresso was an Oriathan. I'm pretty sure that Wraeclast has been on-and-off moved to by the Oriathans, trying to reclaim their lost empire, as they are descended from the Eternals. It may go Oriath -> Daresso goes to Wraeclast, finds the Undead (as Clarissa states, she was gifted with undeath by the gem) Kalisa - > Kills her and takes the gem - > Places in necklace - > Enters fight with previous King of Swords, thus transitioning from Daresso the Daring into Daresso, the Sword King - > Proposes to Merveil immediately after victory - > With the gem's influence, she convinces Daresso to move to Wraeclast - > Merveil changes - > DAresso returns to Oriath. " There might be more to it, because he does eventually return to Wraeclast to find a cure for Merveil. And that's probably when he falls into Malachai's clutches. EDIT: He most likely returned to Oriath to find more people, in order to go further into Wraeclast (again) in search of that cure. THIS HAS TO BE IN THE GAME! The story has to be some where for players to find. Expanding the plot of this kind of game is really important...
