Doesn't seem that great... Can't see anyone using that. I assume the skill it grants is the movement skill Merveil uses. Kinda cool but not good enough.

7 iron rings and a paua ring make a paua amulet...
7 iron rings and a coral ring make a coral amulet... I'm guessing 7 iron rings and a ruby ring make a ruby amulet. The first two recipes require rare rings, so maybe this one requires a unique ruby ring? Emberwake (frickin' rare), Ngamahu's Sign (league-specfiic), or Mokou's Embrace. I think when 2.2 came out, there was a bug where people were finding ruby amulets. at the time it was believe to be a bug where the game was giving amulets "ring" properties and no one thought much on it. I wonder if its a bug that came about with this unique in mind.

Soooo cool! I love the backstory to PoE and have always wondered about Merveil and Daresso. That is what happened! I had thought that Merveil, as a siren, had tricked Daresso into falling in love with her. This makes a much better story and a cool ammy to go along with it.

" First the story explains the origin of the gem that Daresso gave to Merveil: The gem, a virtue gem, was owned by Kalisa in the time before the cataclysm (thousands of years before Daresso and Merveil were alive) and after the cataclysm Kalisa was still alive thanks to the gem keeping her that way. In what state it doesn't mention, but one can surmise from what happened to all the people in sarn that she was an undying or something similar. Next, the story explains how Daresso got the gem: Thousands of years pass and eventually Daresso encountered Kalisa in the jungle, (killed her? doesn't say in the story) and took her gem and gave it to Merveil. Then the story explains what happens after Merveil gets the gem: Merveil gets corrupted, Daresso doesn't like tentacle porn so he runs away. Daresso either went to look for a cure, find new conquests or a combination of both or something else, the story doesn't specify. With Daresso gone, Merveil goes complete cray cray and runs off into the caves and has multiple tentacle babies (I understood ALL of the fish people there are her progeny). " Yeah, in the first volume of Victario's Writings in the Library, he says that Kalisa had the gem, implanted by Malachai and he mentions the corruption and how it changes people. Another poster said that Clarissa? used to say that Daresso cut it out of Kalisa, but we also know he said he found it in the jungle, so Act 2, which is the act with all the Vaal creations, though the whole of Wraeclast has changed people. Obviously you are right that she survived, probably in a totally corrupted state, like an undying like you said and was killed by Daresso who took it. Not sure why they said that people watched fighters in the arena before the cataclysm 'like Daresso', which more suggests that Daresso is one of the fighters, rather than the fighters resembling Daresso, so it's either a retcon or they misworded the English. |
