Agreed, I'm glad to see more of this lore. Daresso and Merveil are the Skywalkers of Wraeclast and their story line fits so beautifully with the overall theme of the game.

So, now we know that despite all of Daresso's protestations about loving Merveil, he was just another love'em and leave'em cad.

Or did the gems of virtue twist him away from Merveil so that he could serve their purpose?

i think illusory is a skill that teleports the user while leaving a copy of him before the teleportation

I believe Daresso left for Wraeclast to find a cure for Merveil's affliction, but ended up in Malachai's clutches somehow.

The fact that this is corrupted sucks, and the fact that GGG would do this intentionally makes me sad, and honestly kind of frustrated.

Obviously, if this item were not corrupted, a new crafting base could make its way into the game. For those of you who don't know, the process would be the same as the demigod items. You get the amulet, you vaal it, you rinse and repeat until you have five rare corrupted ruby amulets. Then you vendor them all for a freshly rerolled, uncorrupted rare ruby amulet.

What harm is there if this happens? It would be an interesting reward for people who are willing to put the extra effort into acquiring them. The ruby amulet base isn't an overpowered base or anything. Please, GGG, reconsider this decision...
