GhazzyTV - Essence Drain & Contagion (or Bane/Soulrend) Trickster [SC/HC/Uber Elder/Shaper]

Hi,

I´m interested in playing this build in the upcoming league.

Is this build still viable in 3.8?
There has been several nerfs with the upcoming patch:

Contagion
No longer gains additional radius as the gem levels (previously gained +4 radius by gem level 20).

The +1 to Lightning, Fire and Cold Gems weapon vendor recipes now instead grants a weapon with added damage of that element for spells. The Chaos variant of this recipe has been removed. The values of the modifiers granted by these recipes is dependant on the rarity of the ring used. This recipe now also works for Rune Daggers.

Trickster
Ghost Dance: Now grants +3% to chance to evade while you have Energy Shield (from +5%), 2% reduced damage taken per Ghost Shroud (from 3%), and when hit, causes you to lose a Ghost Shroud and recover Energy Shield equal to 4% of your Evasion Rating (from 5%).

=> Contagion with less range, no easy +1 Chaos-Gem-Wand at the beginning and Trickster Ascendancy Node "Ghost Dance" has been nerfed as well.

Should I go with ED/Bane? Any thoughts/opinions on this?

ED will be op and very good start build, even if they nerf Contagion ( just radius, and what?? it doesn't matter),
They cancel +1 wand, and? just faster go to 4l.... No problem
They "nerf" Ghost Dance, and...? just 1% less, u will not even feel that in the game. Just numbers, Trick ED gonna be OP like he was.

What are your arguments?

i also think that radius of contagion isnt a big problem becouse you spreading it with ED anyway so this nerf didnt really affect you imo.

Trickster ED will still be viable yes, but OP in what way?

The main strength of ED has always been the clear, not its mediocre damage. Nerfing contagion radius is nerfing the biggest strength of ED.

How far it spreads depends on pack density and the area of contagion. That's why people use increased aoe and intensify. How does the nerf not affect you?
