having difficulty figuring out where my deficit with spell phys damage is when comparing physical damage on bladefall; mine is 2k-3k, while the screenshotted one is 3k-4k, I have conc effect socketed so where am I going wrong? :S

How tanky is this build? What if I lack a bit of that hit n' run sometimes will I be okay?

Cool build regardless!

It depends on when you lack a bit of it. I just lacked a bit of hit n' run on a enfeeble casting, increased physcial damage for allies, and cast invulnerablility on hit rare mob. As a level 65 character with 3.5k hp in merc act 3, I ripped. I was stun locked the whole time. It was a miss-play by me, but I got 3 shotted by the mobs. So it's a character that really needs to stay moving, or a mistake can kill you.
is it me or did glare prices in standard grew?
I don't get how your crit chance is at a 91% i am running the same set up with almost the same exact crit chance on my gear aaaaand i have an increased critical strikes gem in my 6 link and im only at an 82% chance when your are 91% chance with no increased crit strikes gem?
How much does the new patch changes affect this build?
I spent nearly all my currency in standard to play this build next patch with the passive reset(first char btw)

thx!
The new patch affects the build significantly, however I think the build is still viable.

It may even be one of the few viable Cast on Critical strike builds left in the game :)

Rough calculations show this:

This build originated in patch 2.2, where it did approximately 900k+ damage per second on bosses.
In patch 2.3, the build got buffed to deal approximately 1300k+ damage per second.
Now in patch 2.4, I expect the build to deal approximately 800k+ damage per second.
Calculations spoiler below:
Spoiler

Bladefall Damage is 35k with level 20 added chaos and conc effect.
35 x 1.4(CoC Bonus) x (1 + 0.94 + 0.88 + 0.82) x 2(procs per second) x 1.2(physAddedAsChaos) x 1.7 (poison) = 727.7k

Considering the fact that I would actually replace attack speed jewels in my current setup with crit strike multiplier and damage ones, this would easily surpass 800k.

While this is a significant nerf, the build is still very good in doing content. The need for blast rain is gone I think. The attack speed is almost unnecessary now. Jewels are better spent on buffing critical strike chance, multiplier and physical/chaos damage.

Links will be I guess: BlastRain (or Barrage) - CoC - Bladefall - Controlled Destruction - Increased Crit Damage (Swap in Conc Effect for bosses) - Added Chaos Damage.

There will be 2 cast on crits per second now (we might not oneshot some packs now but 1 second per pack is still good) and we will cast a super-buffed bladefall per pack.

Jewels will emphasize physical damage more, so that is also a stealth buff to the 800k damage calculation. I will try to write out more detailed stuff as soon as I can.

Edit: Using a taste of hate can buff (multiply) the damage numbers by approximately 20%. Just a reminder for the rich :)

Hi mate. Thanks for a great build, been playing it these past few days, and it's great fun.

When 2.4 hits, a new unique item by the name of SliverTongue will be added, it seems to have great stats for the build;

Now I know this goes greatly against the name of the build, but perhaps it could be a possibility to offset some of the CoC nerf? I might be completely wrong, just throwing it out there :)
The new patch notes say that coc has been nerfed to only proc one skill, and only once per 500ms. BUT the proc rate has been increased many times. So you do not need 90ish % crit chance anymore.

Is after that coc-nerf this build really still viable for endgame? Also the problem occurs when you have multiple packs. What if you fire 2 arrows and the 2nd arrow on the next pack can NOT possibly proc because of the proc on the previous pack? That would be kinda lame.

And I fear that silvertongue will be a T1 item, meaning that the chances for finding one will be 0.000 something %.
