Pure and hybrid ES is basicly screwed in lab.

Sure you can speed through if you know the layout before hand like the speed racers do buy checking out a certain site that lists the layouts everyday or get a few runs in before hand....

Even this guy complains the layout is different to what ever list he was using that showed the exact way to get through.

Certain movement skills have an advantage over others, leap slam will walk you into traps if you try and leap to far.

Oh well, what ever you like to do.
Playing Labyrinth with pure ES can be a tad difficult, especially in those continuous sections with multiple traps spanning several screens. Not being able to heal is very inconvenient. Zealot's Oath is worthless because long trap sections usually have no enemies anyway.
Very frustrating with ES based chars. I have several chars in standard and they had all run the labyrinth at least once, some many more times, while the one ES low lifer I had was struggling. She finally did it in cruel yesterday but it was hard. I normally am sloppy with traps is the reason and as has already been pointed out here, you can't do it with these guys.

Well you actually have to concentrade with them... but yeah Lowlife has a hard time since the reserved life does count, which is fine, the lab isn't that hard that you couldn't deactivate some auras and lower your ES to simply use instant flasks, a lowlife char is quite flexible here.

And CI chars have enough ES, a single spike trap can't even kill you and you start regenerating before it hits you again, so unless you are running into them over and over there is no issue... and well you shouldn't run into traps over and over

Well they still can avoid getting hit. But ES shouldn't count if you have EB, not sure if it does. That is an issue, I would actually accept. The rest is mostly lazyness to actually avoid the traps instead of just running through them and even with CI you can just run through them... you might have to stop to allow your es to recover every once in a while though.

Energy Shield does count against you when you are going up against traps even when you are using Eldritch Battery. MoM does not protect you against traps at all.
+1 to OP. a hybrid life+ES + Mind over Matter, currently working through act 4 second difficulty, and screwed in labyrinth normal. it takes a single bad click followed by a slight connection derp to place you in a sawblade's path for 2 seconds, and hello Sarn.
running a pure summoner build (no movement skills, mostly animation flasks) doesn't help matters. best I could do was swap offerings for lightning warp, then walk at a snail's pace trying to judge the effing hitboxes from where the traps hit my summons and warping around those damned lag-darts. made it past first Izaro, then made a single bad judgement call on a sequence of sawblades obscured by my zombies. hello Sarn.
the labyrinth experience for me has been closest to playing "meat boy". I HATE HATE HATE HATE meat boy and the entire platformer genre!
