Vaal bosses and trio are no problem but at atziri it seems like I can't keep my flask charges up.
Any tips? I guess I could optimize my flask setup for uber atziri. Should I try swapping out vulnerability for warlord's mark or enfeeble?

for uber i would probably grab some ES gloves to boost ur HP so u can tank small flameblasts during split phase, also I used 3 vaal discs to facetank splits (1 for each split) if u have trouble running out of flasks try to avoid dps too hard so u can force mod add phases.
Also avoiding hitting both the mirror for reflect, but also the storm caller since it cant be shocked with vinktars. hope this helps!
Hey there, i just rerolled to this build and am lvl 60 so far really enjoying the build.

i was wondering if anyone has tried using glacial cascade instead of controlled destruction?

it's also a phys spell and should freeze mobs aswell with high crits or am i missing something here?

First CoC build i've ever played so not sure on mechanics.

Cast on Crit has the set percent chance to cast each of the socketed gems once unless you use multiple same gems which doesn't work and will only make one of them have a chance to trigger.
So for Poison damage Glacial Cascade is worse than Controlled Destruction since it's only about 35% Phys damage on that spell.
I'm sure it sounds good in Party play versus things like Porcupines to stop them from exploding all over your party members and maybe freeze rares but since you only have one skill that does cold damage how many times do you actually think that lower end damage spell will get the last hit and make the mob shatter or how long do you think is the freeze duration on those rare or uniques?
I'd like to be proven wrong but in theory even it doesn't sound like it could even be an option for me.

Another thing is that there is no reason to get another spell in since your Bladefall is already strong enough to take out mobs easily even without another spell/support. Ethereal Knives would be in my opinion the strongest spell but only if you can afford the five green colours on your chest. I for myself could but I do like for this build at least to see what happens around me especially for scarier bosses like Malachai.

Shock Nova could work as 3rd spell if you really want it.
Vinktar would also heal you more.
So I recently rolled this and I've picked up pretty much entry-level gear, with the exception of the multimod dagger I bought last night. I'm level 82 and haven't run anything past t10 since my map pool just isn't developed yet, but no issues there, my only death was to not flasking a phys reflect map initially. I had a few questions:

1. Why does no one run Conqueror's potency, is it just not necessary? I could only get a 30/10 rumi's so I don't quite have capped spellblock, I think I'm 71/71 with tempest shield up. In addition, it has some pretty nice curse effectiveness + it amplifies the other flasks, dunno I think the jewel is pretty good.

2. Does my tree look fine? I'm going for path of the savant, then the spell crit/dmg in witch, maybe the socket first. I feel like spell crit is really overkill especially since I'm at 49% before diamond flask on bladefall, multi is the stat that will really give damage.

3. What should be my goal for gear upgrades? Is the helmet my weakest piece? Most of them were <10c except the obvious ones so I can save up a few ex and get a decent helm, gloves I feel like don't get much more ES on them and get expensive fast. Alternatively I could go the long grind to skyforths, but thats weeks of effort unless I get lucky so I'm not really considering it as an option just yet.

I wouldn't drop Vulnerability since it's your only offensive aura. Rather what you could do is drop your Quicksilver for an Atziri's Promise. It not only increasing your damage.
So less time to run out of flasks, but it also gives you a second form of leech. If you were to run out of Vinktar's now (which will happen 100% sure in that fight) you still have an Atziri's Promise left that always has another use at least.
One more thing that's kind of an idea by me but doesn't really sound practical is take out your Basalt and put in either a Ruby or Topaz for Flameblasts and Storm Calls however without your Basalt if you get hit by her Spear and you don't react fast enough using a flask to remove the bleed it might cause you to die since you loose the 20% Physical Reducution.

Thanks a lot for your input!
Next time I can obtain a Mortal set I'll try using a Atziri's promise. Also I'll try to get some nice ES gloves only for uber. Hitting the mirror was never a problem, at least in normal Atziri runs it never happened for me. The thing with the 3 vaal disciplines makes sense, definately gonna add these for my uber runs.
Another thing I noticed is that I run out of mana pretty quickly when my vessel is gone. This seems to be more of a problem than the missing life leech imho.

Updated my gear and tree again to use 3 curses now. It feels like this already helped me for normal atziri runs.

Did a little thinking on the passive tree, to see if I could switch to heretic's veil + an additional curse. Here's what I came up with:

poeurl.com/BOq

In total I lose 7% increased ES, 16% attack speed (this honestly probably isn't worth it, spending an additional 2 points to get 16% ias seems completely worth doing), 10 str (won't matter if I can get a heavy belt), and 16% spell dmg. I gain a curse, 1 max lightning res, and enough reduced reserve to still work I hope (130 unreserved mana). I could gain back the attack speed by spending 2 points, so that means I'd lose another 22% es to get the same number of points (this is an 89 tree). I think losing that much %ES could maybe be okay, not sure.

Tried Uber today and got her to 50% even though I wasted 3 portals getting to her. I feel it'll be fairly do'able on my 2nd go.

One thing I've been struggling with is how to avoid having the bladefall hit the reflect add on the split phase, which instantly 1-shots me. I can usually pick out the one holding the fire (flameblast add) and pew pew her, but it seems that the bladefall sometimes hits the reflect add, depending on how they split.

To get around this, do you guys run conc effect instead of controlled destruction?

I like to have around 60-65% crit chance in order to fully utilize diamond flask, while around 70% would allow you to almost hit the cap.
