A lot of people have already mentioned this but I'm also a big proponent of the concept:

Mystery box costs 25 points.
Once unwrapped allow us to sell unwanted mtx back to the store for 5 points.
To make this fair you'd need to set a time limit, say 48 hrs for a refund otherwise people will be returning items a year down the road for the next shiny promotion.


This means that for every 5 unwanted mtx I get to pray to rng for something else and it eliminates the duplicates that are a major inhibitor to this type of promotion.

As it stands now, I can handle a bad rng outcome (hey, this is PoE after all, I've been doing this for a while) but the piles of crap I don't want are a major turn off. People want to reward you for building a good game, you just need to enable it a bit better and then everyone can prosper.

12 boxes; 3 Bronze Gargoyles, 2 Gold Gargoyles, 4 skin transfers, a Spectral Throw skin, Radiant footrpints, and then when I finally did get an armour transmog, it wasn't even the advertised set. It's Alabaster Seraph Gloves....YAY more Seraph shit because I don't already have the free gold stuff frm last leagues challenges. What a joke. I literally have an entire family of gargoyle statues for $30. lol

like, you open box - gloves
you open another box - gloves -> CODE changes it to skin transfers instead


or if not skin transfers something else that is useful, people want, stacks
