@Upforsale If i got it right, that suggestion is indeed very cheezy and ill explain. The game has two modes as you know, SC and HC. What you suggested for SC might be ok since you know death does not mean absolutely nothing. But HC is completely different. The HC is designed that way : you made a mistake? REROLL, you lagged? REROLL, your screen froze? REROLL. That is simply the nature of HC league. Now what you are proposing is a backdoor to that system, a way to have a SC design in HC environment, and thats really agaisnt the whole purpose of HC. The same thing was suggested with master's missions when they were first indroduced, especially vagan, everyone was asking if in HC the duels were leathal, and thanks god they are, its true to the HC nature that way. Maybe in SC it wouldnt matter but in HC it will be absolutely a step to the wrong direction.
(Sorry if i misinterpreted what you suggested, either way its a point worth analyzing and why it should not be considered at all, at least for HC)

@Perq, Ceri Yeah looking at all the current alternatives that have been suggested IV seems the least dividing and controversial of them all keeping all the parties satisfied. And it can be mixed with other suggestions too, to enhance the whole experience even more (for both parties).

69 page thread. In 2 months. Holy shet you guyz.

A little bit of spamming, some argument/point repeating, some insulting and occasionally some constructive comments/feedback/suggestions made it what it is. Furthermore its an issue that seems to interest quite a few gentlemen (and ladies if they are any). And there are a lot more with 30+ pages too regarding the labyrinth. Russel gonna carry OKC to 4-2 vs the Spurs?

I tried logic and reason earlier in this thread. The failure of this tactic was that anything that does not agree with the OP get's trashed by the OP. In point of fact, a general perusal of the thread can verify that every person that has posted something contrary to the OP's opinion (and these ARE opinions not facts as they are presented) gets told they did not read the initial post (regardless of how untrue that statement is). Where reason and logic have failed I have resorted to sarcasm with a hint of derision. It should be noted, however, that I made no personal attacks as has been done repeatedly by the OP.

My style of internetting it to read the first few posts, let the thread get big, then read the entire thing in one go. It really helps with clarity.

That said, so much +1infinity to this quote. It's so extreme I still slightly expect Regulator is trolling/doing parody and satire.

@Regulator (@upforsale):
Except for the fact that the Labyrinth was OBVIOUSLY created with Softcore in mind. In its current implementation, HC is broken. (I know some people disagree with that statement, but the general consensus among HC players currently is that the Labyrinth is utter BS for HC.)

If the traps stay in, then something else must drastically change in order to make HC no longer broken. I can only think of one additional way to do that (#3 below).

1. Remove traps (already suggested).
2. Make the Labyrinth non-deadly in HC, like PvP (already suggested).
3. Balance the mobs in HC completely separately from SC, based on the fact that fully Ascended characters are and will remain so much rarer in HC. (No way this will happen, and nor should it. Way too much work, and an utter nightmare for GGG.)

I got nothing else. Do you?

Regulator, I think that one of the major problems that some people have is that they don't understand that for some of us the Labyrinth feels like a completely different game.

No, see, we totallllyy understand that. What you people don't understand in this statement is an inkling of a beginning of a thesis for an argument, not the nail-in-the-coffin-winning conclusion you think it is. It's basically 'this feels weird' and not only is it not a masterstroke closing argument, I'd argue it's not much of an opener either. This is why I mentioned 'begging the question'. You people should be glad it's getting respect by having 70 pages of discussion/debate behind it.

I do believe that GGG understands this since, they are game developers and should be more sensitive to these kind of issues.

God I hope so.

But, I conclude that most of the people that post rude insulting bullshit trying to defend the Labyrinth don't have a clue.

The irony of this statement is that the thread and the opening post are so sophomoric and fallacious that we haven't even got to the part where we discuss some of the more interesting aspects. People have been posting 'bullshit' to try to get you/them tighten up your premise before the actual discussion even starts. For 70 pages now!

"
For these people, I suggest adding a small paragraph to the OP, perhaps making it the second paragraph or maybe simply adding a sentence or two? Something like:

For many people, when playing the traps in the Labyrinth, the game play gives them the feeling of a totally different game.

The entire OP is nothing but paragraphs repeatedly beating this horse. That's the root of the problem.

"
Unfortunately, it's a game play that they don't enjoy, at least not when they're trying to play an ARPG.

Should I even bother asking what trying 'to play an ARPG' even means, or should I just type up what I was planning to?

Ugh...

Which statement? The one you quoted? I mean, your response doesn't even make sense in this context.

Or is this basically just a well dressed 'NO U'?

Your statement was void of any point or information except your empty unsupported claim with no context that nothing has been explained. Your statement has no content or substance except to indicate that you disagree. What do you disagree with? Only you know because you said nothing that meant anything.
