SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

i fine people for poor connection, electricity, hardware and software problems every week, it's part of my job.

it's fun how they state at the trial it's not their fault, while license agreement says it's clearly theirs.

PS your hardware setup, your connection and your software compatibility(like firewall issues) is your responsibility and is in your control, and ggg has no obligation to alter gameplay because of your personal technical issues
No rest for the wicked

My connection is sometimes unstable at peak hours, that's why I always do lab runs later at night, problem solved. If it was utter crap I wouldn't play online games at all, or at least not those where you stand to lose something if it bucks on you, you'll sooner burst a vessel than enjoy yourself that way.

It's different from, say, ironman mode in fallout tactics where you can save only in bunkers so you have to go for an hour without saving and the game crashes every half an hour or so, that's entirely the fault of the game.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

implying PoE has been a stable game. Pro tip: it hasn't, for a long time.

its stable enough for thousands of people to play it in a hardcore fashion

It makes no difference if he does or not, because 3.0 will bring in a bunch of new players who try the lab for the first time, say 'WTF is this?', and stir up the lab hate train all over again. Remind me of this post if I am wrong and I will more than happily eat a slice of chumble pie.

It does make a difference.

A lot of the people complaining about the lab are just ignorant people that don't know any better, turtle himself starting complaining about the lab before even doing it more then once or twice (IIRC he had 1 character ascended at the time and it was only normal and cruel I think. He started complaining before they reduced the damage to es, before they added the uber lab, before they streamlined the process in standard, before they made trials league bound, instead of character bound. I could continue, but the point is that some people are very clearly ignorant in how they approach the topic and instead of bettering themselves and having a well informed opinion for feedback they just cry because patch after patch it doesn't change, despite every form of communication GGG has given in terms of why the lab is the way it is. They did a design feature, they explained in multiple podcast they don't care if you don't enjoy it, as the rewards make it worthwhile to do. Yet here we are like a year later, still crying about the same thing.

im playing since closed beta and actually didn't die from desync even once when it actually was a thing. what did i do? 1) i didn't roll cyclone, 2) i used skills only with shift, and i played only hardcore that times, as i had loads of spare time as a student. you may dig forum and discover a lot of stuff about how shitty poe actually was.

there were quite a lot of things over a long poe way, and all of them were fixable with a little bit of effort.

edit:

The Labyrinth is the biggest most horrible pile of crap ever produced by GGG. This is demonstrated by the fact that GGG has had to admit to and fix so many bad design problems in the Labyrinth. For example, streamlining trials making them per league, making ES at 60%, and the horrible quality (e.g., crashes) introduced in that release. Labyrinth was plainly a horrible mess. I went into the horrible Labyrinth and could tell almost immediately how poorly designed, boring and not fun it was. There's an ignorant troll running around this thread that thinks when one eats shit they can't know it's bad unless they've eaten the whole turd. Maybe it might be true that the ignorant troll needs to eat the whole turd before they can realize that they don't like it but I can safely tell that I'm not going to like to eat shit just from the smell.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

So what you're saying is since it didn't come out perfectly right away that it's awful, boy howdy do I have some balance patches to show you. Making people play the tutorial less is a semi obvious thing that would be overlooked right away, after all they make you level to maps every time, and that's basically a tutorial anyway. ES is another minor balance change, and crashes? that's hardly a relevant discussion of content and is neither hear nor there, that's just a crash.

so you went into the first zone which is exactly like any other zone in the game and thought it was bad?

You've never had kimchi have you?

maybe there's a point there, but the lab smells like the rest of the game, because honestly it's just not that different, it's the same game but sometimes you have to spend a minute on some traps that you can mash flasks and just run through.

I thoroughly don't understand how a piece of the game that is so minorly different from the rest of the game can get you so angry.

I do have a theory regarding this. People just need something to be angry at. And since they fixed Desync people need something new. And Lab is just a good replacement.

And you can also tackle them fair, try to get hit as little as possible if that's fun to you, I like to do that sometimes. There's your choice right there, you can cheese the lab if you don't like it or you can play it fair if you do, they did give us an option.
