Current Development Priorities

I hope the fix performance issues come soon, because I've really enjoyed what I've played of Ascendancy so far (finished it on normal fairly quickly), but the lag makes it nigh impossible to complete at any higher level. Loading times between the different regions of the labrynth are insane, with Windows wanting to shut down the game because 'it's stopped responding', I've died multiple times due to micro-stutters and lag caused by Izaro's powers. Once I actually beat him in the second fight, but due to lag I ended up going from full health to null. Very Frustrating.

Anyway, thanks for the update, I look forward to playing when everything is fixed.

Keep an eye on Cadiro. He certainly has a few treasures that people aren't expecting.

Really excited about this! Can't wait to no life it over spring break!
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to always tell the difference.
I want to comment on this:

We also need to work on the preloading/RAM usage situation. We are both using too much RAM (approaching the 4gb virtual memory limit on 64 bit windows) while simultaneously not preloading enough to prevent asset loading during combat occasionally. This is very high priority for us and we will make sure it is improved as soon as possible.

I really hope this is a priority and will be fixed. Because 2 of 3 of my deaths is this always same scenario: some box, i open it, if it guarded by 2-3 rougeu exiles, i get litterally image freeze for like 5-8 secs. And it doesn't matter that i have 60 fps and 60 latency before opening it. I set the very lowest settings hoping that this will reduce freeze for like 1-2 secs so less resources gets loaded. I don't know, but this is more me currently the most uncontrollable part :(

P.S.: i don't have SDD drive if you ask.

I hear that! Four more days of school, two final exams and then, my wife left me.

hopefully with the preloading fixes the initial startup will be shortened... if that's true that's my only true gripe right now, having to wait 3-5 mins before game starts. once that's fixed, probably wouldn't be too long til I finally got around to donating since I'm enjoying this a lot right now.

I5 2500k 7850 gpu 8gb ram and ssd and lag like hell in these situations too.
So it's not your hd that causes it.
Game engine is in the 90's still.

Blizzard Style!
FOR THE GLORY!
I've only completed the Labyrinth once, on normal, with an overleveled (albeit, undergeared and with very poor defenses) trapper, but it was an absolute blast! My heart was pounding every time I fought Izaro, and in the final fight I almost died a few times.

Funny thing, I killed him offscreen (as a trapper is wont to do), and the moment I heard him declare me victorious I bolted out of the room for fear of my life... so fast, that I didn't even realize he had dropped keys for me! Oh well, picking an Ascendancy class is enough reward on it's own!

Labyrinth leaderboards (and prizes) are coming as soon as we get time to finish them (potentially this week). These will probably highlight the fact that some people are getting sub-10-minute Labyrinth runs on certain layouts. For an example of the interesting economic benefits of planning runs like that, check out this reddit thread.

So the video in this link is what the intended labyrinth play-through should look like? No offense to the player, but I think they hit every single trap possible. Basically all that is showcased here is that haste/vaal hase/max speed have yet another purpose in this game. I figured (incorrectly) that the goal was to encourage skill-based play styles and critical timing. Really disappointed to see Chris supporting what essentially has to be the laziest way through the challenge [run, hit trap, potion, run, hit trap, flame dash, hit trap, potion, dps, boss dead in seconds, run, run, hit trap, potion......]----rinse and repeat until insane.

Seriously if this was the whole purpose of the labyrinth I'm really disappointed.
So just to confirm. If I already reached Merciless but only did the Labyrinth on Normal, will I still get 4 ascendancy points or only 2?
