I was just taking it litteraly, you know I don't want to get into that.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Lab only feels like a classic platformer if you go out of your way not to adjust your build at all to meet the challenges it offers. Lab fits the classic ARPG mold perfectly in that it forces you to either:
1) Have very high gameplay skill

If you can't fulfill #1 or #2 then you fail, just like with every other challenge an ARPG puts in front of you.


Why should Mario even have varieties of builds since Mario only runs through traps. Whereas the normal build in PoE is designed to kill monsters, not run through traps.

2. Unless the normal build in PoE is one designed to clear the whole game as fast as possible but allowing for some deaths on softcore.

3. Unless the normal build in PoE is one designed specifically for fast boss clearing with no real focus on AoE speed clearing.

4. Unless the normal build in PoE is one designed to tackle the labyrinth most efficiently and/or safely.

PoE doesn't have a normal build designed to do one thing in particular, it allows you to build as you like to counter whatever challenges you want to face. A lot of people found the challenges provided by the lab particularly difficult to adapt to, but that speaks more to a lack of flexibility and creativity on the part of some segments of our community.
