I'm not a fan of new characters being able to skip over the first 2 labyrinths to go straight for the 6 points in Merciless, but if respec characters are able to be differentiated somehow then I think it's a fine idea to allow them to respec to the new normal and run the labyrinth once for 6 points. |

"I fully aware of what OP/or u trying to say. I have a couple of Merciless characters myself. I have to do all of them if I want them fully ascendancy. But you guys are missing the point @ my 1st post here. only herflik that got what I mean. 1. This is an optional content, if it is too tedious to you -> skip it. It is not a requirement to have ascendancy. Players who actually put time to do optional content should be rewarded. 2. My Tasuni example is completely valid, because it is one of the many optional quests in all 4 Acts. If u stack all those quest together, they are "big" too. Why should I do Tasuni as well as other optional 3 times, this is a complete waste of time........... If this whole Ascendancy content can be skip-able by just doing merc. Then I would suggest bringing all optional quest having the same treatment. I would love to be lazy & wear a tabula on my new char, skipping all optional content including Ascendancy, power level to merc then only do it ONCE for real & getting the reward for all 3 difficulty. . Besides I think GGG have planned this for long term. There are 3 Izaro boss fights, there are 3 difficulties, they are basically splitting the actual reward into 3 across 3 difficulty. If eventually GGG remove all the difficulties, you are going to see each Izaro rewarding you 2 points. Last edited by Darkkrows#6635 on Mar 6, 2016, 5:45:54 PM

A really large part of the game is about re-playing the same content over and over and over. x3. For each character.
Don't get me wrong, I would love the ability to get all Cruel and Normal rewards by completing the merciless versions on the missions. So I 100% agree with your idea in that respect. If you want to bring an old character back up to speed, it would be cool if you didn't have to sit through the same stuff 3 times (and two of those times at a really easy difficulty) whenever they release new content. But it makes no sense to just do it for the Labyrinth IMO. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

I support this, but support waypoints MUCH MUCH MORE
Quoting Saltychipmunk:
...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that? They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons. |

I agree. Making multiple level 90+ run through level 8 zones is just ridiculous. Faced with the choice of running all my different characters through all of the 'trials' or uninstalling the game, the trials are still there unaccomplished and the game is no longer on my machine.

" 1: It's as optional as killing hillock in Merciless is. If you want those last few skill points, its NOT. 2: I don't mind putting in time/effort, but I want to put that time and effort into Path of Exile, not Tomb Raider. Also... checkpoints! Quoting Saltychipmunk:

This idea is brilliant! A much better alternative to my "uninstall the game for the first time in 4 years because the amount of tedious work for 12+ end game characters is too dam high." :D

I love the lab, but also agree with this suggestion. I'll still probably play it for my new chars, but for my already leveled ones, it's going to be really silly. I also feel this will help people who really don't like the lab stay in game. They only have to do it 1 time, and then they can move on to maps.
Also, I didn't know you had to do the trials every time. I agree it should be like the unlocking the scion, and you shouldn't need to do it more than once. |

I endorse this idea.
