Pohx's 2.2 Ice Trapper. HC/SC/Atziri/High Maps
anyone having problems with mana issue? i am on a max clarity and if i get map mods like 40% reduce regen, i just canot spam traps anymore.

Around which level do we typically switch from "leveling gems setup" to the actual build setup? |

I am playing the old poison bladefall build. It doesn't have any smoke mines, and I was wondering IF I should start using smoke mines, and if so WHAT I should dump for it (seems like there really only is wither totem).
And if I sacrifice something, should I use the smoke mines with a minefield or CWDT with Detonate Mines? How much increased area effect does the mines give and does it make a great difference? |

Hitting the mid 60's with this build and enjoying it!
One question I have: What's your survivability like? I've got around 2.8k life and working on hitting some more +life nodes. What's a good range to aim for with this build? I'm finding myself pretty durable with Acrobatics and my current health pool, but a hard-hitting spell-based mob will sometimes drop me down in to emergency mode in one hit. |

Hm, all weps in OP have added/increased lightnign damage. Is that intentional or just a coinsidence?

" My gear isn't the best, I'm a little over 3k at level 70 and I noticed the squishiness too. I'm not sure how many more life nodes we can grab without going out of the way though. I went down to master Sapper, then followed to Elemental overload and gathered that area, now I'm heading back towards the ranger tree and grabbing the Oak stuff. I still feel kind of vunerable. Maybe once I flesh things out I might swing down and try to gobble up the Scion life wheel, getting that nice mana regen passive on the way, since mana can be an issue. It's either that or up to the cold damage wheel. " I started with this build pretty much immediately. Used mostly fire trap and frost bomb up until I unlocked Ice Trap, then used that right away. I had never even used the Firestorm mines (I hate dealing with detonation). Normal Lab was pretty tough, I had to wait until about 40ish before I could take down Izaro without accidentally getting one shot. As soon as I unlocked cluster mines and Master Sapper, I pretty much used Ice Trap and frost bomb, and then when i unlocked elemental overload, I finally added Orb of Storms with the critical strikes on the list. Once you unlock cluster bombs, things get much easier, since enemies tend to trigger most of them without a lot of help. Cruel was a breeze. |

I have been using Hypothermia instead of cold pen. I don't really think cold pen compares unless you are running +xx% cold resistant maps etc. I think it should be your 4L, not your optional 6th link. My 2 cents.
