Petition to remove the traps

If anything I feel that traps should be buffed to increase their damage and implement some changes for how damage applies to CI/LL. As HP based (and really not a crazy HP pool of ~4.6k) I can just put on some Seven-League Steps and a single instant HP flask and can literally ignore all monsters and traps in the lab and run to Izaro, completing in <10 mins. I love the idea of a puzzle zone where you have to actually consider where you're about to step, but this is basically a speed run maze.

At first i thought labyrinth is impossible to do. I was bit angry but equally interested what awaits on the end of the path.
Then the training begun. I spent 2 hours or so to do normal lab at first time. I figured out i need two movement skills - warp and whirling.
On laptop touchpad you cant just YOLO through entire lab. You must think and sometimes "scout" with lightning warp.
When you succes you feel great satisfaction and progress as you grab those ascendancy points.
I wouldnt want GGG to deprive you from it.

died 4 more times in the traps trying to run lvl77 low life summoner through lab on normal, quiting playing POE again for another few months

I know is not optimal, but have you tried unreserving your life when you are in a trap gauntlet?

I don't exactly agree with trap removal, but does need a bit of reduction to some certain trap density. A room with full of poison dart + other traps is not fun.
I'd like to see some traps added that do elemental damage. Besides the fire pits.

i think the labyrinth in general sucks, Izaro as a three part boss in three different zones would have been cool.

TLDR : no loot + no exp = not fun

Why a hack and slash is fun for me ?
Because I kill things to get loots and EXP. So I can kill bigger things to get bigger loots and bigger EXP. This is the core mechanic of this kind of game.

Why a trap isn't fun for me ?
Because I can't kill it. So i don't get any loot or EXP which is boring in hack and slash.
