I did some testing in my hideout (after I figured I could monitor tooltips) and if anyone was wondering, it makes no difference. If you pop it before or after you drop your totems, you still get the added damage bonus (around 2k dps for me). I've been popping it after I drop totems, usually at a boss, which combined with assasins mark just makes them melt!
Another question dude, for ele resist maps, I've been swapping out phys to lightning for totem and minion resist, but I have a red slot to replace added fire. What would be a good replacement in that slot? Iron Will perhaps?
In ele resist maps, there is no reason to take out phy to lightning and added fire gems
inevitable judgement ignores all resistances when you crit

Sorry, I meant ele REFLECT not RESIST lol. Anything barring reflects is fine, but on ele resists my totems melt quickly if not instantly and I haven't run any phys reflect yet.

For reflect, i dont change my gems as well. But if you wanna change, iron will seems a logical choice, it will provide a decent amount of spell dmg at high gem lvl
Phy reflect is not as big a problem as ele reflect, but your totems can still go down fast if you crit a big pack at once
what do u think I can sell this for? I have been lucky to get 2 of them. Looked on poe.trade and can't see another one up there so not sure of it's value. I am in softcore.
Cheers
EDIT: I found another selling and listed so no longer need an answer.
Shockwave totem quality only increases totem life, you should always check the wiki for a particular skill gem before using gcp's on gems to see what actual benefit you'll get.
Actually it was to do with being lvl21 corrupted, not the quality but appreciate your reply.
I died tonight, PHC Lv73 from running trials. I had no idea my ES wouldn't mitigate the damage, so it's completely on me for not doing research prior.
Thank you SoS for all your helpful replies, you were one of the reasons I even made it that far. And thank you to the OP for this build, I must admit it was very sturdy and the damage output was far beyond what I expected.

Sorry about your rip mate.
Glad you liked the build though, and thank you for the feedback :)
How much important are the jewels in the passive tree for this build? I'm planning to skip those passive nodes and take Essence Surge (just next to Eldritch Battery). Does it worth it?

Jewels are crazy good, I wouldn't recommend skipping them, but you can save them until last if you prefer.

Think of it this way Battoh, Jewel nodes are nodes where you can literally choose what gains you want. You'll be hard pressed to find a node better than a Jewel that has damage + crit + life which are going for very cheap.
