I don't see why people who play standard should be treated like second class players that should learn to play challenge leagues.

+1 , PoE caters way too much for small super hardcore players and streamers. GGG should do much more for that silent mass of ppl who struggling with OP builds because don't have tons of currency and time to start from scratch in new leagues. More support for standard and casuals are very welcome.

i dont think any other skill in the game has ever suffered from a 55% less damage nerf.

dom blow never got a 55% less nerf

level 20 dominating blow before 2.1: 20% more minion damage
level 20 dominating blow after 2.1: 35% less minion damage

dont talk if you dont know shit

+1

I have played this game for years and I always skip the challenge leagues.. so I have missed on so much cool stuff, simply because I don't really care to start all over and race with other try hards who play 24/7.

just make a damn game.. put the content IN THE GAME. FOR EVERYONE.

God i enjoyed so much reading those standard players & meta op bitching :)))) .Play leagues and try out some hipster/not so popular 1 million crit builds. This patch is perfect for me, thank you GGG !

Well fuck you too!

calm down and enjoy the game, all the best !

no, what he said stands. its cute you have plenty of free time to start over and race other nerds for title of supreme nerd. but some of us are actually trying to play a video GAME, and we would like all this content included. their is no reason to hide cool new stuff behind challenge leagues. It should have zero effect on you whether or not its not just limited to your challenge league.

so basically this was the dialogue in the GGG office:

chris: lets make a little change to crit multi so people that suck with math could understand because hey, its fucking hard to multiply with 1.5!

random guy: but what about the people with already existing items with crit multi?

chris: they can reroll with blesses or divines!

random guy: but what about guys with perfect stats on items?

chris: well i guess they will have to use more divines.

random guy: and what about people with mirrored items?

chris: fuck them i guess

random guy: but isnt it simpler that we just multiply the crit multi on items that should be changed by 1.5 so people dont have to lose their good items?

chris: you know what, fuck you too, smartass. consider yourself fired!
Wow.
Reading the standard QQ is what a Trump rally must be like.
"The evil government (ggg) is taking away my elite status, we have to build a wall (to keep out the nerfs) and ban all weird religions (those icky challenge league players)"

PoE was never supposed to be Path of One Shot, Path of Crit or Path of Left Overs.

You're exiles, ripped from all you know and love (like Vaal Spark).

Cope 'n Change.
I kinda like the changes :)

The game is constantly being updated with new content and I believe it to be a good strategy.
As with any new change we have to adapt to it and stop living in the past. The crit changes have a purpose , I know it might be frustrating for the guys that loose some dps but hey it might be healthier for the game in the long run.

I can't wait for the patch and it is so hard to choose from those ascendance classes!

This. So much this. If they just wanted to nerf the effectiveness of crit multi, fine, I wouldn't have said a word honestly (and I run a crit build). But I just bought Shadows and Dust (near perfect rolls) and a near perfect Abyssus which now have to be re-rolled with divines (and Abyssus isn't worth trying to reroll at .5 exa each time)...

My question is... why? What was the purpose? Because some people didn't understand how to do the math? No shit, people can't do the math on a lot of things on this game which is why you have players with 80% accuracy and 95% crit chance (stupid). Don't punish me because other people can't figure out a simple concept. This is one of the weirdest ways to change that problem I can think of.

And of course, fuck the people with legacy perfect facebreakers etc. They don't get to divine so I guess sorry for the nerf, but at least someone finding a new item will have an easier time figureing out the crit multi! =\

The rest of the changes in this patch are good, but this one is just straight up horrible.
well to avoid crying and fanboying, heres an idea for GGG: i get it, you want some items to have lower crit multi. you choose which items can be rerolled, and im fine with that. but then roll them yourself, dont make us waste currency!

example: i have a random facebreaker, its on the list of items that can be divined. then you change the multi from 60 to 90 instead of making me use the divine myself

i have a similar problem with abyssus and facebreakers :( and its a goddamn legacy facebreaker :( i have it just for the crit multi, the fact that its 990+ unarmed doesnt matter. but now i cant even sell it because of this :(

but this can still be fixed, just roll the items on the "white list" yourselves, shouldnt be hard to do, GGG :(
