Thanks for your continued feedback and generous support!

This change to crit multi feels like a swift kick in the nuts to standard players who worked their asses off for their gear.

You're not getting one more penny from me. It'll take quite a bit on your part to convince me to continue supporting this game monetarily.

Most players like me, don't give a damn about permanent leagues. If my gear turn legacy, good. If my gear becomes nerfed, i don't give a damn.

To each his own...

If you enjoy that, then fine but don't expect everyone else to do so. Starting over every few months is fucking boring. And the leagues haven't offered much lately. Boring ass shit...

And GGG make mini nerfs to some items, but they bring tons of new content and massive buffs via new Ascendancy classes, and all some of you Standard players are doing is crying because of the small nerfs. You are ungrateful and you should feel ashamed.

I never owned a mirror, nor any mirrored item, not even closely mirroable itme. Yet i happily play (much) all the new leagues.

How come that you guys on Standard with legacy items and mirrored gears, you get so much salty when these items get 5% nerf? Really just spoiled kids.

I don't own mirrored shit either, that's not the point. Ungrateful? Spoiled? Nah. Pissed off that they would consider even doing this. Yeah. Can't divine something that's corrupted, and expecting us to use our currency to fix this is beyond 'ok'. I play solo/self-found mostly, so I did work extremely hard for the shit I have. The things I did buy took me months of grinding to afford. For that to be done away by this patch rightfully leaves me salty.

While we're throwing names around, here's one for you. Inconsiderate. Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it won't bother others. Who the fuck appointed you to speak for the community anyway? And you wanna call me a kid? lmao

I've given way more than I'd pay for a triple A title...If I want to let them know that a decision they made has made me want to discontinue financially supporting this game, that's my prerogative.

Your opinion on this means absolutely nothing to me.
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

The chaos damage conversion on The Consuming Dark has been lowered from 75% to 50%.

ahahahaha...ha..ha...

Vessel of Vinktar has been reduced to 20% Life and Mana leech. It no longer grants "Leech applies instantly during Flask effect". It also consumes more charges when used, so you cannot use the flask twice per fill any more.

My sense on POE at the moment:

1. Depending on low long you have played you will have different levels of satisfaction. To elaborate, if you played this game for a long time there is not much joy as opposed to newer players which will be very happy.
2. POE has reached a high level of saturation. This means more and more of the same. This means that the strategy of having huge depth has reached a point of maturity that does not yield the same results as some years ago.
3. I suspect source code constraint is becoming more and more prevelant which seriously hampers balancing and new coding alike.
4. Trading was not a key component to this game in my experience. Loot based grinding to get what you wanted and needed was key to the game. I recall GGG saying that was part of where the name GGG came from, grinding for your items. Now trading is preferred and natural to obtaining items.
5. Melee for quite some time now does not get any thinking and focus into game play application.
6. Supporter packs has become much more expensive. Too expensive in my opinion.
7. Expanding maps, missions, new mobs, bosses are good.
8. Mapping as the end game option is just ok, mediocre and gets a bit lame over time.
9. Ascendancy classes is more of the same at a deeper level. Nothing new there unfortunately.
10. POE for me thus far has been the best ARPG I have played.
11. GGG has succeeded to retain players for long periods of time.

Cheers to a good almost three years of POE! An amazing journey!

Hopefully some of the newer players will carry GGG going forward with POE.

Absolutely agree. I feel the same way. I'm playing ONLY alone and every gear what I ever bought was paid by loooooooong time of grinding shit and saving currency.

If you dont wanna QQ then,

1. Only use basic crappy gear that you dont mind getting nerfed. Dont buy legacies!
2. Only level until it becomes too much of a hazzle, around 90.
3. Dont get too attached to your builds. They get nerfed the next patch.
4. Be casual as fuck, dont be competitive, dont play too long sessions at a time.
5. Play for fun, dont be ambitious and never craft anything expensive!

QFT lol.

This is how I play and it works!
When you did the Earthquake skill reveal you had mentioned that the less duration skill gem was going to get a more damage modifier on it. Was that idea scrapped or not mentioned or just put on the shelf until a bit later?
So, crit got nerfed hard. Ok then.

Much hype.
I need to use my currency to repair ggg lack of coding knowledge.
So hypeeeed!
Also, ggg starting to implement things exclusive for backers.
Game going in right direction hype.
Also nerf to bino killed my melee build, that regen was good since item implementation but some poison trapper used it so devs nerfed bino for everybody not for places where it was op.

Nailed it.
Oh hell yes! I am so excited for this new expansion and league. I just started playing maybe a couple months ago, first character in Talisman, im hooked. So whens the release for this exactly? Im on Pacific Standard Time, California.
Oof, the crit multi nerf is going to hit a lot of people really hard. Obviously, it will be countered by the power creep from the ascendancy classes and new gear enchants, so I don't think that anyone's going to find their previously tenable characters no longer playable. But still, I'd hate to be one of the people who spent hundreds of exalts on gear which is now stuck in an obsolete and underpowered mathematical framework. Ok, maybe I wouldn't hate to be someone who could spend hundreds of exalts on anything, but it's still a kick in the nuts.

And even if a divine orb can be used to update gear (not mirrored or corrupted), and even if doing so will not also wreck the other well-rolled stats (2 big "if"s), the cost of divine orbs will be prohibitive to most casual players. No one is going to use a divine orb to fix a piece of gear that's worth less than a divine orb.

Be honest, was this whole overhaul just intended as an underhanded way of nerfing legacy Facebreakers, now that Rigwald's curse makes their crit multi stat not completely irrelevant?
