[2.5] Greedy Roomba - MF Blade Vortex Assassin (63/329) - Atziri Viable - Solo T10+ (37/40) [Videos]
"If you have experience with BV or similar skills yeah, I would say level Bladefall for safety until you have the blaspemy Warlords and immortal call going and its probably safe to wait until you have Vaal pact before maps - farming dried lake is fine. My First death this league was in maps to a pack full of Molten Shell goats that I whirled right into the middle of, the second was running into a magic pack of bear in an added damage map before I had Vaal pact and not leeching fast enough to survive. The other legit death was to twinned Racecourse because I didn't know the Bull did like 100% reflect. My other deaths were to silly avoidable things like Atziri at low level, typing while in combat and opening a freezing box without a flask of heat. There was a guy last league who hit level 90+ following this build but as inquisitor, he did make a few modifications for hc, main one being Mind Over Matter and using Essence Worm to cast Hatred. His username is jakerOK I think. Edit: Avoid Phys Reflect maps unless you use the Life Leech gem - the 63% more damage given to blade vortex makes it a lot more dangerous than before and even with Rumi's Concoction a Basalt and Immortal Call I died to it. I thought this would be the case but until now I have been safe in reflect maps - it's just once I hit T9 with 15% physical reflect it became and issue. IGN: MrG. Thread title says t10+ does this mean you can do also t15-16 maps?

Just got this. It's pretty great with the vulnerability flask, but I'm thinking of somehow utilizing CoH Ass Mark instead. But for now it's doing well. I am mostly running IIR gem instead of AoE, but in terms of damage I'm not sure what to put. Conc effect or Crit Dmg? Both should be double dipping and my gear is not that great yet. Don't want to use facebreakers because the gore lags me. I went with Toxic Delivery. I also utilize Shield Charge + Vortex on a CoC 4 link and it's doing a lot of work by itself, on top of helping with slowing things down and adding the additional chill for bigger targets. "I have done T15's with both versions of the build, the GIF in the original post is the MF build in Abyss, but I'm not sure about the new maps. I managed to hit T13 maps today but it's on the Cospri's poison DPS version so I'm not sure about the MF version - but for the DPS version it has been easy, just waiting on RNG to get the T14+ maps. "If you can get the colours Added Fire beats Crit Damage, but it doesn't buff the poison damage like Crit Multi - I wouldn't use Conc because the AoE would be too small for general mapping. That shield charge + vortex idea is great for using Hypothermia. I use BV + CwDT + CoH + Vulnerabilty to apply the second curse, use a low level CwDT + BV and high level Vuln + CoH. You should remove Herald of Ice though and put in Hatred, make sure it isn't linked to Faster Casting either because that will increase the amount of mana that the aura reserves. Here is my gear so far (level 89):

Oh, yeah, I am using Hatred + Blasphemy. HoI is just sitting there from when I was leveling and I decided to just level it to 20 and then use on other char or sell. That Cospri got me super broke so my survivability is still crap. I really don't enjoy relying on a curse/flask to leech because sometimes it's not enough to fully facetank without the block.
I really love Shield Charge over Whirling Blades. It's much faster for me at least and easier to proc either the CoC setup or Fortify because it's an AoE hit at the end. It also apply the other bonuses from the Ascendancy like maiming, bleeding, etc. Last league I did a PF BV that converted phys to light, conversion vinktar, Hrimnor's gloves and I almost never died, the leech potential to that was amazing. Double reflect, not a problem. Is there a way to do reflect maps with this without LL gem? Rolling maps is really annoying. IGN: MyOtherRangerDied // DontBeStupidAndDieAgain // GenericSporkerWitch

"I do Phys reflect with Phys to lightning, now that I have Rumi's and Rathpith the spell block is 50%, it does rely on flask uptime but I felt fairly safe. The time when I died to Phys reflect was when there were mobs that cursed with vulnerability in the map - I still have to test it in more situations but I've done 10 or so reflect maps and only one of them was rippy. I'm thinking of ways to increase Leech like boot enchantment and vinktar, there is an Essence that gives 50% added lightning in helmets, that would be effectively a 5L and make vinktar possible. Prior to 2.4 I could do all the map mods aside from cannot Leech, so I'm a bit annoyed about reflect being an issue because of the 63% more damage. Edit: Secret crafting, don't tell anyone! IGN: MrG. How do you transfer to CI with this build?
|
|
"I won't be doing it until I hit level 92-93, until then I will be farming for ES gear and planning out what to do. I don't think it will be a smooth transition, more like a rather large respec - with the respec points from doing quests (I think that is 18) you will still need a decent amount of regret orbs to swap - maybe 20 depending on what tree I decide on, I will test the change in Standard before I do it in league to see what is best. Bandits - kill all, kill all?
Everyone going with oak i think... why this choice? |
|
"I like having more passives, it can be the difference between having to reach level 93 or 94 and that can be quite a lot of grinding. The 40 added life from normal Oak is fine if you want it, but I like the flexibility of potentially swapping this character to low life or CI without having to drop 20 Regrets to remove the Oak normal choice. If you just plan to go life all the way and don't care about the difference between 114 passive points and 115 once you hit early 90s helping Oak in normal is the best option. The rewards in Cruel aren't worth it though, so kill all. IGN: MrG.
