First Wave of Trade Improvements
" You are wrong about this. The main change here isn't the tab name. It's the ability to crate public tabs, set prices and this will automatically update indexers. I have a already said that a few pages back but it can work like this: - If you have normal tabs, there will be an option to set the tab to public and if you want set a price of the whole tab. Also for each item in the tab you should be able to set a price etc. The tab title will be as usual (1,2,3...) - If you have a premium tab you will the above functionality with the additional feature to update the tab label to reflect the price set for the tab. So for example add an update buttons that says, update tab label. With the above implementation, everybody gets the feature and those who have paid for premium tabs, they will get an extra QoL that makes the tabs visually/cosmetically more easy to navigate and use. The only reason they didn't do the above is because they believed that they could exploit this new feature to get more sales of premium tabs or upgrades. I don't want to hear that there are 3rd party tools. A new player shouldn't have to assume that there are free party tools somewhere that they can use to play the game. A new user will see this and think, they advertised the game as free, but they want me to pay for trading! Last edited by phmn#0085 on Feb 29, 2016, 9:39:50 PM

" Nope, these [Removed by Support] are now expecting free tabs handed in a Free-to-Play which they have spent hundreds (if not thousands) of hours on without paying a penny. This is like the best news to come out of this expansion and the best news since desync removal. But some people still manage to be displeased, these are the same kind of people who are just never happy and use internet to vent because of their personal life issues. I mean if I had only normal stash tabs and read this news, I would still be equally as excited and use the freaking "Upgrade" button to premium tabs. It's there for a reason. Your regular tabs aren't a waste. You paid lower price and now pay for the upgrade like everyone else did. Last edited by Rachel#0000 on Mar 1, 2016, 1:27:53 PM

I like this a lot. I see no problem with making this a Premium Tab only feature. GG.

Big thx GGG for this great game :) |

I'm happy with it.
But since adding div cards, jewels, so many skill gems, so many uniques, sac frags, vaal everything, new maps, new map tiers, and soon items with labyrinth affixes, along with inflation so we have hordes of currency stacks... there has been a lot of stuff added since the default number of tabs was deemed adequate. Ya'll should consider increasing default by 1 (maybe even make it premium). And/or up stack sizes of most currencies (and scrolls?). And run a sale on premium tab upgrades (maybe add an upgrade bundle). Stash QOL todo list: - Folders! (and default all remove only tabs in 1 folder!) - You can even sell folder capability! It's totally a mess when temp leagues end. Everything is a mess. And it's jumbled with race rewards. And holy crap I have like 4 tabs of transmutes. Raise stack size from 40 to... something BIG Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

" "So give me free premium tabs or else its pay to win" -HAHA! No, that is the point, if I wanted premium stash tabs I would have bought them. I don't want them. I know my maps are in stash tab 7, I don't need it to say 'maps' cause that is stupid. Why do I have to buy them now? GGG decided to make a huge quality of life improvement to the game that is only associated with premium stash tabs. Instead of buying something cool if I get another supporter pack I have to now buy premium stash tabs that I don't want, so maybe I will think twice about dropping another $50.00. Why? Because they include a search feature THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF THE GAME YEARS AGO!?! This is no more pay to win than someone having 200 stash tabs in stead of the person that only has the 6 they started with. [/quote] Yep, that is definitely pay to win and this is following that model, exactly what I'm saying. What is an 'ethical' micro-transaction? 🐢

" +1 Also, Thank you GGG! I won't have to waste time on hand made Shop forum threads. I refused to use Procurement or Acquisition and I'm really happy to see you offer an in game option. The world is full of stories, and from time to time they permit themselves to be told.

" Assuming facts not in evidence. Has it not occurred to you that perhaps the under-the-hood code for the tabs is different enough that only premium tabs could easily have this done to them? I have no idea, and, much more importantly, neither does anyone else. Support a free Hong Kong.

Excited about the changes and luckily bought my first premium tabs over the weekend - before that I had only bought normal bundles.
I am probably in the minority, but I typically really enjoy the temp leagues up until my stash is completely full (19 tabs last week, just added 6 premium so now at 25). I have an issue with hoarding and while I have used acquisition in the past (very limited), I didnt really enjoy all the alt tabbing and price checking on poe trade etc. After adding 6 fresh tabs on Saturday I have played more this week than the 3 weeks previous combined. (My stash was full and I was rotating in/out about 12 slots in my character inventory on map runs - nightmare... yes I have issues). While I'm glad I have some premiums now, I do agree with Hege and others that 1+ of the starter tabs should be premium to open it up to all players. I know they aren't expensive and that the game is definitely worth the donation to GGG, but sometimes it'd difficult to get over that F2P hurdle and justify spending $ to get a slightly more convenient experience. Lastly, kudos to GGG on the timing. If this were just a money grab I would have assumed they would have announced it on Friday.... maybe it's a slow play though! Thanks for the hard work and looking forward to future updates! |
