But the advantage for you doesn't exist! It makes less load for the 3rd party websites and a slightly more reliable trigger for if someone is online/offline.

I don't even think this should be about efficiency. From the viewpoint of the game the 3rd party tools don't even exist. Or are we saying that poe.trade, acquisition and procurement are part of PoE now? Because in that case I'd have to encourage everyone to split up their PoE budget and ship a good chunk of it to the people running the 3rd party software, instead of spending all of it on stash tabs and MTX.

Again, the existence and acceptance of these tools are proof that in-game trading is suboptimal. Which is why people wanted that aspect to improve. If that's the case, you can't really turn around now and say "but you can still use the tools, so everything is fine". It's the exact opposite, really.

So you want to say you won't use new trading tabs if you have premium tabs? Keep using third party tools and forums. After all as you said it is equally efficient :)

It saves you the time you need to alt+tab out of the game. So you complain about 10s you lose and say it is pay2win because of that. Look up what pay2win stands for. You can do everything paying players can do too with no or very little extra efford. WTF you want ??? Should the paying people who hold the game alive have a disatvantage so the freeloader are happy ... i doubt even then they are happy.

See, funny thing about this, Garfunkel is one of those paying players who hold the game alive, having bought regular stash tabs recently and arguably has the disadvantage now, so ...

I think we'd still be alt-tabbing tbh for Price Checks now...

That's one way to see this.Did people know about trade abilities on the premium this weekend? No,it was announced right after they made the purchase.
Suddenly my 12 or something regular tabs feel less valuable of my 20+ premium.
The difference in price was small but the gap of their capabilities has now grown.
Regular tabs cannot auto post items while premium now can.
Their value has lowered before premium ones. That's my point.

So after reading about the new trade API, it seems that a lot of people here do not understand how big of change this actually is.

Old way of trading:
1. You maintain a shop thread inside a trade or use a 3rd party software to maintain it
2. 3rd party apps crawl the trade forums and index data within posts
3. They list the crawled data on their website (or not in case of personal crawlers like Durian)

New way of trading:
1. You use the ingame trade system withing premium tabs
2. Item data gets pushed to a internal stream of data (not forum threads)
3. 3rd party apps can read this stream of data via the new API
4. This method is much quicker than crawling the forums

What is the issue:

If in time support for thread crawling is dropped from the likes of poe.trade then players without premium tabs have no way to push data regarding items they want to sell to the new data stream used for the trading system.
This means that if it happens they will have to buy premium tabs or to use the ingame trade chat / hope someone visits the trade forum.

While this is not the issue at this moment, it sounds a bit scary what-if scenario.

I have red around 30 pages and reconsidered my opinion.

While $1 is a small amount, indeed, do not forget that GGG support payments of no less than $5. Some ppl might have better use for this money or not have an ability to pay it for various reasons.

To my mind giving everyone 1 premium tab for free just like this is not the right thing. It is better to give one upgrade per league after merc Dominus kill.(which would be void next league ofc.)

And surely, to compliment ppl who bought regular stash tabs bundles, it would be better just to do a permanent upgrade of one tab per bundle purchased, because it is the most unfair to them.

Don't conclude that whoever complains is poor.
I agree with you in what you said.
And whoever claims that opening procurement,repricing item,copy paste to thread for every sellable at the start of a league is the same as right clicking in game is out of their minds.
GGG should not seperate customers in good and bad for picking weapon effects over premium tabs.
Everyone who paid for anything or hasn't paid for nothing has a right to equaly fast trade in a free to play game.
What next? Auto sell for supporter packs owners?
