Hi, I didn't check your passive tree out but I looked at your gear and ur character sheet.

Try to get +400 es helm, +500 es shield, a crystal belt with at least +100 es.

Try to get some mana regeneration on your rings and if possible, try to find one where you can craft Max es%. If your budget allows it, try to get diamond base ring, if not, no problem.

Get yourself a new shavs if possible and remove life leech gem and substitute with either vinktar's flask or warlord's mark. Since you already use warlord's mark, I'd suggest using empower level 4 on your red slot until then.

Once you obtain vinktar's (physical damage to lightning damage), you can drop warlord's mark for vulnerability for more damage.


Look to get a better uber enchant on your skyforths. I prefer cast speed/attack speed if you killed recently enchant on my boots.

Try to get similar dagger with crit multi if you can. If you do this, you can free up your glove slot so you can use a high es rare glove.

Don't use max level clarity... It's not needed, you want to use your life to get auras and then use clarity for the remaining portion of the life.

You could try using vulnerability instead of ass.mark and also try to fit in atziri's promise , it adds a lot of damage to both initial damage of BV and poison damage afterwards.
2 vinktars and a chalice is a completely overkill and a waste of flask slots , imo.
50k tooltip with just auras is more then enough actually for smooth shaper farm , probably you just need to practice a bit with managing those vortex balls and explode them outside of the shaper's arena , not in the middle of it.
Other than that - your gear is pretty decent , not much you can do to boost your damage.
Except maybe taking dual curse and buying vuln on hit facebreakers and changing crystal belt.
Shield with spell damage and crit for spells is also a huge dps boost but given that you don't have skyforth yet - such a shield is not a option for you so i'm not suggesting it above everything else.
Jewels with spell damage and crit multi also adds a lot - so i'd recommend checking poe.trade for some upgrades if yours are not good enough.

You've deviated pretty far from the build in the OP, as a result your damage is going to tank, despite what your tool tip number might say, especially if it's artificially inflated by things like herald of ash (why are you running that?).

your 6L setup is wildly different, running spell echo, and crit strikes instead of increased duration and crit damage is most definitely gimping your damage, similarly if you're going up against shaper you should be swapping in concentrated effect and something else instead of item rarity like added chaos damage (which I assume you're doing).

The tool tip is not always the best indicator of how to scale your damage, especially when factoring in: enemy elemental resistances, diamond flask doesn't modify tool tip dps, poison damage isn't indicated on tool tip either, etc.

Tldr: your support setup is hurting your dps, don't rely on tool tip as the source of truth for getting the best dps.

For the equipment and links just look into my character tap. The character is: BVKuni. I do have linked BV, echo, Contr. Destr., inc.AOE, incr. crit and incr. crit dmg. I do use that setup for bosses and mapping. There is no need for Incr. Duration. I do switch inc. aoe for concentrated effect for doing bosses.

I tried faster casting instead of echo, but echo feels better. You could try that for yourself. Faster casting doesn't have 10% less damage.
