12ex isn't budget.

This would make Shavs builds "affordable" as you can pick one up for 6-7ex in new leagues. If any piece of gear is worth 1ex+ it isn't budget.

Yes shavs is affordable if you can afford to play ~10hrs/week.

Yes 1ex+ per piece isn't budget if all you're going to do is farm dried lake.

But 12 ex is budget for any uber capabale build. Even more so for a uber capable build in a temp league. Even more so for a deathless uber capable in a temp league. Even more so for a deathless uber capable build in a HARDCORE temp league.

Dual VB will be worth considering once they buff lightwarp/flamedash. I have a pretty nice wand that gives me 20% more DPS than my dagger:



But clearspeed is like 30% slower.

No whirling blades practically means you have to invest into movespeed. Might be doable with pathfinder actually.

Many viable options IMO.

I would like to know, I'm an HC league player, and I would give it a shot, would it be doable with the blade vortex spell (spell and physical too) or a flicker strike?

Cause I really love these 2 spells and I would like to start the perandus league with this build ^^

You can do uber with a poison firestorm trapper build in talisman which only requires a consuming dark and infernal mantle which would be less than 1ex combined, the variable would be how lucky you were in getting it 6 linked.

Either do it with cheaper gear which people can pick up for a new league or just don't call it budget, you will do a disservice to people who believe they can realistically generate 12+ex in a new league, the vast majority of players will not get remotely close.

Well this build could also be a 1ex build with the variable being how many dried lake runs it takes you to farm up a taste of hate, vinktar, and a 6L. In fact I think I will update the title to "on 0ex* *=varies with RNG."

You're right, for all those people who are aiming to kill UBER ATZIRI in a HARDCORE TEMPORARY LEAGUE but CAN'T FARM 12EX, I will be telling them to GET REAL. Is that really a disservice though?

I think we might be playing a different game or something. I've played for 10-15h/week and got almost 100ex now at the end of the league. Moreover, 12 exalted IS BUDGET for a uber HARDCORE DEATHLESS run, what the fuck is the matter with you? Like Matrix tried to explain, 12ex isn't budget if all you're going to do is farm dried lake and t12s all over, but it IS budget for incredible accomplishments like the one we are discussing.

hum since double curse is really important for blade vortex (warlord mendatory) I guess the occultist wouldn't be bad for this build variance. Thought on this?

Those builds are fairly different. If you intend to play on HC successfully IMO you should be able to answer those questions for yourself. Check the flicker threads here, and there's a flask-based BV being theorycrafted in Ranger subforum.
