[2.2] MorgNThorg's Iron Will Biohazarauder - uber down

Yes, I miss often with Flicker strike, but it is so fast that it can be worked into your pack-to-pack movement often enough to not matter much. This may become less okay as I get to higher maps... if so, I'll definitely take the accuracy gem over the golem. In any case, I feel like flicker is improving my clear speed. Thanks!

Edit: Another reason you may not need accuracy: if getting fortify is vital in a situation, I hold the key on flicker for a moment and burn a frenzy charge or two to multi-hit flicker. I'll almost always get the charges right back as the enemies die.

Edit 2: Yeah with bosses missing can be nasty. I think you might be right.

I am still trying to figure this build out for my new HC league entry 4th march.

So you basicly went 2h and melee gear until you found tabula then you basicly had start farming for spell dmg gear and leveling your new gems?

So basicly if you dont find a tabula you are screwed in new leagues? Or is it possible to go spellcaster anyway?

What skills did you use when you were leveling as 2h?

Whats your thoughts on dual bladefall totems for leveling fast and safe instead of going 2h melee skills

Would be nice if you could share some more information for leveling.

I love the idea of this build! I will go for it in the new HC league for sure.

Regarding the vaal sceptre 1h mace, I am fairly new to the new items since I used to play 2013, I am abit confused of your gems inside that you have faster casting and flame dash. Since this 1h mace supports with a lvl 30 iron will isnt it better to use something offensive in there? Wouldnt this be better in your mace? Contagion + Faster casting + Increased area affect?

Last question, how many regrets did you use when you went spellcaster?

Thanks! :)

As a Scion, I'm trying to work out my two ascendancy nodes. One possibility:

Juggernaut (+1 passive point, +40 strength: 5% spell damage, 20 life)
30% increased Armour
Cannot be Chilled
10% chance to gain an Endurance Charge when you are Hit
You can't be Stunned while you're at maximum Endurance Charges

I'd love to take Templar for another mega-strength node, but I can't justify the other nodes. Instead perhaps:

Raider (+1 Passive Point, +40 dex)
25% chance to Avoid Elemental Status Ailments
2% chance to Dodge Attacks
10% chance to gain a Frenzy Charge on Kill
You have Phasing and Onslaught while on full Frenzy Charges

This one lets you drop blood rage for an effective 4% increased life gain per second, and phase / onslaught is appealing.

Other considerations:
-Pathfinder and trying to have perma-granite flask and +25 damage and elemental damage reduction...?
-Trickster for big regen and frequent 20% damage if you have a ring that grants tiny 1 energy shield...?
-Just spending the other 3 points on 40 str, 40 int and a passive point.

What do you think, Morg?

How does this build fare against chaos-resist mobs/bosses? Does they take much longer to die?

Either way it's a cool build.

I didn't know what the powerlevel of the chaos spells was at the beginning of the legaue and I didn't want to stuggle while leveling, that's why I leveled as melee 2H (which is really powerfull for leveling IMHO). Regarding the skill I used static strike which one I really like, but it's not really popular. You probably cannot go wrong with ice crash and the new skill sunder seems really good for fast leveling as well. Bladefall is really strong ATM, but seems like it'll get a (deserved) nerf when ascendancy hits. I think it'll be still a good option for leveling as well.

It's quite easy to get your tabula as you can farm for humility cards in the Aqueduct zone. You can make some chaos with the help of the recipe while doing so and buy a few cards as well, so you can complete the set in a few hours on your starting character in a new legaue.

The only skill that the build uses for dealing damage is essence drain which should be placed in the body armor, so the built in iron will from the sceptre won't be very usefull, but you can place contagion there for sure. I was using it there as well, but swapped my gems a lot while trying out stuff and it ended in my helmet without any specific intention :)

I needed only a few for the transition (3-4 if I recall correctly) but I spent a lot of regrets later, cause I was trying out different approaches.

Juggernaut is a strong option for sure with scion. No stun and chill is very good. Chieftain is not bad as well if you use wither totem a lot, but probably weaker than Juggernaut. I don't think I'd drop blood rage with raider rather keep it and try to max uptime on onslaught and phasing, that would be a nice boost to clear speed. The projectile bonuses from deadeye seem great too. I think I'd try rather deadeye or trickster for the second choice.

I don't really notice the difference when facing chaos resistant mobs, actually I don't even know which of them has high chaos res :) The build has good enough clear speed for solo play in any circumstances at least for my taste. But I was never the glass-cannon "blow up the whole screen" lover type.
I'm between scion (choosing 2 from slayer-deadeye-trickster) and champion. Do you think the build could benefit from a 2nd starting point from ranger or shadow and if not, is something like champion (or any other subclass) better choice than scion?

Hey all, new to the forum! I was wondering the the Rise of the pheonix, I can't find the mod where you take damage to mana. Should I still buy the shield with Elemental resistance?

There is a lot damage around the shadow, but I feel the build is already streched in terms of passive nodes, so they can only be taken if you sacrifice other ones. My impression is that chanpion with perma fortify would be a really solid choice.

You can get that implicit on rings and amulets as well. It's not necessary on the shield, but I'd advise to get at least 20% (including the rallying cry jewel) from this stat, it makes MoM much stronger and reliable.

Yeah I think this is what I am gonna do. Spec duelist and pick the starting node and the two strength nodes on the left side of the start and just enter the current tree that way. Meanwhile as Champion you have perma fortify, lots of armor increase, and 35% increased damage. Not bad if going for HC.
For those interessted: Iam playing this build with Juggernaut and the old skilltree, works like a charm, even better than before. Core map malachai is going to die!
