Finally got all the pieces together. Now I just need to learn how to play the build.

In town i'm at 17,236 damage on my spectral throw with a 6L and unbuffed. I'm level 82 and followed the tree exactly. My sword is only 284 epds though so that might be why my damage is lacking.

Can someone explain how to properly use the vaal haste and vaal grace? These skills weren't in the game last time I played. How exactly are you able to use that frenzy link in the gloves? I don't have enough room on my bars for that one and i'm also not sure why I would stop using spectral throw to use that....

I am a noob so feel free to treat me as so :D

Link your gear, and for vaal haste I normally use it off cooldown and save it for boss fights for vaal grace I use it vs bosses or difficult mobs.

Okay thanks. I'm up to about 21k in town now with a couple changes and some more talents. Also at 4100 life. So I'll use Vaal haste on cd now and save grace for tough fights. What about the chaos damage flask? Just use that on cd? What about the 4 link in gloves? Frenzy there seems kind of worthless. What about a 4 link with cwdt?

Thanks for the help.

for the 4link you use frenzy to gain stacks on say a solo boss you if you can't build up charges. Also for the flask guess it's really just up too you.
Maybe this is a noob question but what's the reason you are going elemental damage and not physical?
Just dinged 86 on this build in Hardcore Talisman. Cruising through mid tier maps, with lvl 19 gems. Should see a considerable jump in DPS (only 15k on 5L) soon as I can quality my gems, I'm assuming. Just wanted to note that it is possible to reach the high 80s-90? with this tree, as long as you play smart. Should only be attempted by experienced HC players imo, as 4K HP requires a lot of smart play. One thing that has saved me headaches is *not* turning on Blood Rage in maps with an unfavorable layout. For this, I linked my Herald of Ice + Curse on Hit + Assassin's Mark with ICE BITE. Frenzy charge generation is not as consistent, but will save you the headache of having to backtrack with Blood Rage on. If anyone has any other means of Frenzy Charge generation (apart from using Frenzy + PCOC + FA), please advise!

I've thought about working in Arctic Armour into my defenses but you'd need to take Reduced Mana Reservation + Charisma, as well as a higher level Enlighten to have enough mana to cast maybe 3 STs before going oom. Not sure if worth taking those nodes versus just taking Life? Physical spells (as such with any Evasion based build) will be the bane of your existence, so remember to be liberal with your use of Rumi's Concoction and be smart about your positioning!

At any rate, thank you for the fun build. Looking to hit 90 before expansion. Only started this character late in the league to level with a friend, and unfortunately he died to some shared boon Dischargers (rip), but I live on!

Gear as of 86

Where is the tree planner I couldn't find one for scion yet just says unavailable, also I hope this spec is still viable

Are you planning on updating this for ascendancy? If you were to do this build again, would you still use swords, or switch to daggers, with the thought in mind that the crit sword cluster got nerfed a bit. What would your tree look like? Thanks!
From this video by ZiggyD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI3Gn5OQBkY I understand that Scion can take 2 partial sub class trees? I'd say if examined correctly this build can become even better.

ST was also passively buffed by 20% from reading around. I just can't see why this wouldn't EVEN MORE viable than before.

P.S: I continued reading here and there what we get as Scions: Deadeye and Berserker seem to be our best options:

Berserker
1.5% of Damage Leeched as Life
5% increased Damage taken
25% increased Attack and Cast Speed if you've taken a Savage Hit Recently
10% more Damage

Deadeye
50% chance of Projectiles Piercing
20% increased Projectile Speed
Projectiles gain Damage as they travel further, dealing up to 30% increased Damage to targets
Skills fire an additional Projectile

From what I see the tree will probably stay the same.

What about these?

+1% to Critical Strike Chance
40% to Critical Strike Multiplier against Enemies that are on Full Life
10% chance to gain a Power Charge on Hit against Enemies that are on Full Life
Your Critical Strikes with Attacks Maim Enemies

20% increased Elemental Damage
Take 8% reduced Elemental Damage while standing on Consecrated Ground
120% increased Critical Strike Chance against Enemies affected by Elemental Status Ailments
20% chance to create Consecrated Ground on Kill, lasting 3 seconds

30% increased Damage against Rare and Unique Enemies
10% of Overkill Damage is Leeched as Life
Always Stun Enemies that are on Full Life
15% increased Attack and Cast Speed while Leeching

25% chance to Avoid Elemental Status Ailments
2% chance to Dodge Attacks
10% chance to gain a Frenzy Charge on Kill
You have Phasing and Onslaught while on full Frenzy Charges

The Berseker one you linked doesn't seem that valuable to me since I already leach really well. The Deadeye one might be useful but Spectral arleady pierces and i'm not sure I need another projectile. I guess I could drop down to LMP instead of GMP if I used that.

To me the Gaining Phasing and Onslaught when at max frenzy charges is pretty nice as well as the stunning enemies and 30% damage against rares/bosses. Not sure on the secondary nodes I would pick though.

Let me link you the test observation of a few people on reddit. I did not have alpha access, but I guess they did:

DRHST 4 points 7 days ago*

"Occultist - 3/8 nothing special
Juggernaut - 5/8 the endurance charge part is very strong
Hierophant - 6/8 very nice for crit totem builds, you can grab this, get Ancestral Bond and run 3 totems with two different skills (one in your helm)
Assassin - 4/8 meh, the "full life" limitations make this mediocre
Trickster - 3/8 underwhelming
Saboteur - 6/8 looks strong, cd recovery is so good for trappers
Deadeye - 8/8 ....
Pathfinder - 5/8 strong, but not out of the ordinary
Gladiator - 3/8 don't see why you would take this over Gladiator if you have a block char
Slayer - 3/8 same as Glad, if you're a stun build you will go Slayer
Berserker - 7/8 Global leech ggwp, didn't give it 8 because the passive also has a malus
Chieftain - 3/8 Mediocre like the mother class
Inquisitor - 6/8 Good defense/offense balance
Guardian - 2/8 terrible
Necro - 2/8 come on
Elementalist - 6/8 i hope they didn't change Conflux to only proc from rares and uniques
Raider - 7/8 crazy good "

and then a 2nd post:

adept_or_die 2 points 7 days ago*

Very Strong: Deadeye, Berserker
Strong: Assassine, Slayer, Raider
Neutral: Juggernaut, Pathfinder, Gladiator, Inquisitor
Weak: Trickster, Saboteur, Chieftain
Very Weak: Champion, Necromancer, Elementalist

Like I've said I threw a quick glance earlier at the planner, and what my eyes stopped on, matched what these gentlemen wrote.
