I'm currently following another Whispering Ice build over here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1335794/page/1 Which is a bit different from your build. AFAIK, your build is more on pure damage, while the one I'm following is more on crit. May I know your opinions on which build should be better? I know you will have your bias with your build but anyway still want to ask :) Thanks! | |

can i ask what is your source of information about that? "Chilled Ground + Temp Chains Slow does NOT stack anymore" afaik only hinder effects doesnt stack with each other Also about MoM CI interaction from wiki "Mind Over Matter is rendered useless in conjunction with the Chaos Inoculation keystone. Damage is applied to energy shield before life, and as a result there is no opportunity for any damage to be absorbed by mana.[1]" | |

Can't tell why, I just love playing it! :D " I have seen that build and in all honesty its allright. :) The thing is going crit on Icestorm just is not worth it at all imo because you would have to spend way too many points on crit/charges to even archieve a decend crit chance of 50%. Also as you can see in the other guide his witch is only 4 levels lower than mine but lacks a ton of ES and damage (allmost 50%) compared to mine which is huge. There is something his build does better than mine tho: Since hes crit, he freezes mobs and bosses most likely all the time and more reliably than I do. So in the end it's all up to what you pref. personaly. :) " Sure thing! It was patched a while ago. Can't remember the exact patch number tho... MoM really does not work with CI? Should you wonder how I can tell: I have seen quite alot people doing UBER with icestorm and they had around the same ES than me and also less damage. " Really?! I also had quite some conversations about this topic and I was told that it's not worth using chilled ground from icestorm + temp chains lvl 1 anymore since they override each other. But if what you say is indeed true (not telling ur lying or something, dont get me wrong!) this really changes ALOT! Cuz it would mean that the 2x curse ascenaths + doedre's scorn combo is far from being dead! Tooltip wise the dmg. would be lower but the real dmg. with 2x curse and the dmg. gained from doedres scorn would obv. be alot higher! Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week.

Ive started a whispering ice build and just got some questions. -Why we dont take blast radius? 5% increase radius of area skills + 20% more area damage. -Why we take arcane vision? Thx for this build! |
