In the Vaal Molten Shell Damage, it lists chaos damage but I cannot find where it is coming from. I am at 74,000 damage with VMS. Where is the chaos damage coming from? I would like to get my VMS to 90,000+. Thanks

" what i did was i bought a corrupted tabulas "+2 to level of vaal gems" VMS lvl 19 - Increased Duration 20/20 - Concentrated Effect 20/20 - Empower lvl 2 (+1 level) - Spell echo 20/20 - Added Chaos lvl 17 and my dps tooltip says 58k damage with 5 power charges and atziri flask! (not using the consuming dark) now i bet you i could get that 90k dps if i had a lvl 4 empower! might sell carcass jack and buy that lvl 4 empower . . . . UPDATE: i sold cascass jack, got empower level 4, and im at 76k dps but my empower is lvl 19 and my added cold/chaos dmg gems arent 20/20 either and i bet those are holding me back from achieving 90-100k dps so i have alot of grind ahead of me Last edited by PleaseMasterMakeMeScream#1582 on Dec 27, 2015, 6:20:26 AM

Hi are you sure that spell echo works? I think Spell echo does not work witch VMS anymore.

" You just sacrificed alot of AoE for that. Carcass is a must in this build. The dps will come as you make small upgrades to items, daggers, skill tree, etc. You're an eager beaver man :P so impatient lol " chaos damage is coming from my atziri flask. You should be popping that for every boss fight. if you use the consuming dark to avoid reflect you'll also notice that most of your damage is chaos. " im not sad to see it go, i spent like 386 chromes on it to make it give me 3 reds only to have it give me 2 greens and 1 blue, then spent another 500 or so chroming it myself hoping RNG would give me 3 red and 2 blues but nope. so i was constantly stuck with 2 reds which is worthless to me. how you managed 3 red and 2 blues on yours is beyond me :/ in my opinion i had to find a chest piece that would sort of "even out" what i was sacrificing was it worth it to sacrifice 12% area dmg and 20% area skill for +2 levels to VMS and any color gem combination? for that i said yes because now i can use lvl 4 empower in addition to the +2 level vaal implicit i got from tabulas (which i hope will recoup the dps i lost with carcass) and i dont have to keep dumping chromes (cuz tabulas is all white) like i had to do (to no avail) with carcass. . . but i still want to get more area radius so suppose my toon was lvl 100? then i would have the necessary skill points to spec for that, and additional health nodes problem is with so little hp, 2.3k atm im dying almost constantly in dried lake due to: - bleed and/or failure to clutch flasks - voll 1-shotting me :( - vms being interrupted when cast (thus causing it to take no effect and reset itself) - or that one time where i'll die and cant explain wtf happened i want to be clear im not dying due to reflect! consuming dark is awesome! im just too god damn squishy! my only solution is to jump on my righteous fire toon (which never dies) and level her up to 100 and then respec her to this build :/ Last edited by PleaseMasterMakeMeScream#1582 on Dec 27, 2015, 6:41:46 PM

" This is why you need to actually follow the build exactly. Any area that isn't a map should never even get you CLOSE to being in danger. This build clears all maps instantly. If you're having issues in dried lake, you're doing something very wrong my man. Use vorici to color your carcass. this is my setup so far, i have a concentrated effect 20/20 in my stash was leveling up this one. also i know the astramentis is shit but its saving me 3 skill points and poetrade offers very little in terms of more crit/spell dmg/and cast speed for amulets :/ there are amulets there but they're kinda shitty and not worth what they're asking u_u Last edited by PleaseMasterMakeMeScream#1582 on Dec 28, 2015, 2:32:37 AM

" Ok so ... No health on chest. No health on rings. No health on amulet. Low health on boots and gloves. I have a feeling you're not at 75/75/75 resists either in merciless. That added chaos in your gloves doesn't do anything. You're still running herald of thunder instead of dual curse. No immortal call. No endurance charges. Essentially no sustain since you're not running warlord's. You have a spare VMS gem in your boots that you don't need other than for atziri. You're refusing to use a staff on swap to gather souls with firestorm so you're getting souls with a 2 link which is REALLY not good at all. Not only are you not using carcass jack, but you're also using conc effect at all times instead of increased AoE so your AoE is INSANELY low. That's a ton of mistakes man. No wonder you're struggling in dried lake. You can't even 1 shot a pack, you have to do multiple casts in different spots to hit all the mobs in a pack. You get hit a lot more that way and you're a lot less tanky. That all adds up.
