Yep, in general you just want to use the links as soon as you meet the level req, and have 4Ls available. You can look up the level req of gems in any poe wiki if you are wondering if you can use. You may need to get extra dex to use some of the gems (blood rage/vaal haste)... if you don't have it on your gear, you can grab a 30 dex node in the tree temporarily.

While you are working towards a 6L, just use the following on your 4L: SC - fast attacks - melee phys dmg - added fire dmg. Fortify and aoe/conc effect can come later (and have higher level reqs anyway).

Our leech is pretty good on bosses, so you can face tank most things once you are leveled and have life rolls on all your rare gear. We have 38% of max life leeching a sec from slayer, and some regen on top. Life flask on top of this if you take a big hit has been enough for me. We can facetank most things.

In terms of upgrades I would go roughly in this order:
-Use blessed on your meginord for 9 free str (this is about 2 % dmg and 4 life)
-Amulet (you are missing t1 phys, this is a ton of lost dmg)
-Steel rings (make sure you get t1 phys with some life at a minimum)
-2 or 3 jewels with 3x valuable mods (picking up the 3 missing jewels in tree as you level)
-Better facebreakers (since you can quickly resell yours)
-6L astral or belly

Always good to get the low hanging fruit first! :D

Boss is slower than normal because I forgot to swap in conc effect for aoe on my shield charge... oops! Still only a few seconds.

Thanks for the tips, I got some new facebreakers, but steel rings at the moment are ridiculously expensive.

Only problem I have atm is when I use cyclone i just run out of mana, was doing izaro with it to try get a cleaner kill and yeah had to spend half the time running around. Not sure if i need another leech jewel or something. Luckily thats not too important now, planning on just shield charging my way through the atlas.

On act 2 cruel, is 8% atk speed that much better than 16% physical dmg from oak? I'm on HC

Hey how easy is to start the league with this char? Ive always played hc reached lvl 90 but there is no point on playing HC anymore since its very hard to explore the new content (breaches bosses shaper etc) with out amazing gear, so im planning to playing this as my first Breach SC char. Would it be easy to play with 0 currency?

It's pretty easy to get to dried lake to farm currency. like really easy. after that the problem will be two things:
1. abyssus
2. steel rings

but you can come far without those too you just have to farm dried lake for a bit to get them :)

How viable is this as Champion? It gets tankier and you can use another gem instead of Fortify since its perma. Is it worth losing the Slayer's damage and lifesteal?

Any thoughts on Voidheart?

if you check his jewels he has 1 jewel with mana leech and that is enough. I've tested it with the 0.4 mana leech in the duelist tree. jewels are a better choice but if you don't have currency you gotta do what you gotta do
