I think that Blade Fall is probably best lvling kill. Ez to scale dmg and dont need investment.

Seeing as how Bladefall is so awesome I'm half considering doing a physical damage version of this. Something like:

Cyclone -> CoC -> Shock Nova/Arc -> Bladefall -> Blade Vortex -> Life Leech

Is this potentially workable, or a terrible idea?

I also managed to get some basic gear (5L, Vagan Staff) going yesterday and I'm really enjoying the AoE damage of this build.

But 2 things that are somewhat concerning me are high physical damage monsters (I don't stand a chance against Daresso for example and other monsters like bear-type or giant-skeleton-type rares are super dangerous). Also the single target damage is a huge issue to me, especially if a boss does not spawn any adds.

How do you deal with these two issues?

Also, are there any new skills that are worth giving a shot in our CoC setup?

Yes it is possible. But you would have to test it. Im still lvling and gearing myself.

@Irongunner, biggest defence till you get some nice unique armour is: CWDT and Enfeeble, but to get it you need +2 curses.

Ive just got windscream and will probably wait till Deodre ring goes down on price.

For single target i would swap arc with Flame Surge or blade vortex this is bext thing to test in 2.1

PRO TIPS:

Its good to have 1 life flask and 1 granite flask with 20% chance for 3 charges on crit! after transition.

Till you have capped crit yes its a nice addition. free 20%

PRO TIP2. Drop Arc and put Blade Fall in its place :D Clear speed increase 50% >_>

I'm gonna give it a try, shoot for a Kaom's Heart, and see if I can fit a few phys nodes into my tree. I'll report back on how it goes when I get there.

Ive tested Blade Fall and dropped Arc. Blade Fall is way better. And it scales with Spell Dmg Also. Now im thinking about investing 2 points into Will Of Blades in shadows part of tree just because of additional crit and 20% phys.
