What's coming in 0.9.5?

"
Lvl 58 Ranger, Split Arrow with faster attacks, piercing, fire dmg, 14 mana per shot, 4 ats @ 8 charges, 2% mana leech and I can cast without using mana pots at all.

Only 14 mana per shot? The fuck? Sticking 3 damage supports on my melee attacks puts their mana cost up to 45 mana.

Well, that explains it. You only spend 56 mana per second. That's trivially low.
what most of you guys don't realise here is that in the end this game is meant for pvp! Yes! So what if the game is a little bit easy in pve?

Its a pvp game people, dont forget that!!!

In the end everyone will try to tweak his character so that it's best in pvp. That will be the difficulty...
Heaven forbid a game developer makes PvE end-game actually interesting, challenging, and entertaining to play.

Yeah, pretty sure I have read things contrary to that. If the end game was PVP, then maybe they would already have implemented it. While it may be to some people, some people would be fine if there was never any pvp at all.

PvP is purely optional.

They will be available. Currently, for example (and this may change), trading a Quality=20 version of an item to the vendor gives you a quality upgrade item for that type.

Heh. Good luck getting anyone to trade a 20 quality gem for a GQU. I see very few gems being worth to make that trade with. Curses, basically, and Enduring Cry.

For potions this seems about right of a ratio. For items/weapons, well, I think it will be the opposite of GQU - I already see people ignore Armor Shards/Whetstones on the ground. Who would want to bother with the inconvenience of dragging a 3-6 inventory slot item to just get 1 Shard/Whetstone?

Enough has changed with the currency system in general that players will need to re-evaluate all of the decisions. In addition to their prior uses, most things are now used in a lot of inter-related recipes.

I know this is a few pages behind, but I think it should be 20 quality in total, either as a single item or several items added together. So you could pick 20 +1 or 1 +20 quality item or 2 +5 and 1 +10. We would need a trading screen that would allow you to put several items together into a single trade, but it would make more items worth picking up.
Oh nice idea, that could work as well.
Getting way ahead when asking this, but I was wondering if there will be cold/lightning/chaos avatars as well? And what about a decent melee AoE for daggers/claws?
Probably in the open beta, eh?
Anyway, sorry for the offtopic, but I gots to know.

Heaven forbid a game developer makes PvE MMO until end-game actually interesting, challenging and entertaining without being a grindfest.

This isn't a buff to flasks at all! It will make the game harder rather than easier.

I am surprised there's so much concern in this thread about the game becoming too easy. It's very easy for us to ramp the difficulty at will, which we can do once this patch is deployed and we have a wide spread of feedback about how hard it is.

You know. Its like in diablo 2 , when you had all the items you need for all alts (not even speaking about main character) the game became just easy as pie.
I bet those people who speak as the game became easy are probably all the 60+ lvls who can equip all alts with best items. Probably once you can do the chaos and get best drops and you start equiping characters with maxed items the game becoming a joke ? I dunno. My highest character is 52 now. I started exactly the same day we got 0.9.4 and i have to say lvling was quite hard. Getting items was quite hard.

Again as we can speak of diablo 2 - how hard do you think the game is when you have best items you can get with 75% or higher resistances ? Its again a joke, you just farm to get more stuff. Actually what PoE can be missing is the lack of any "endgame thingies" - like runes in diablo 2. But if you remember diablo 2 was great at beginning without runes - when rares were the best items. Runes simply destroyed diablo 2 but yeah - they were rare enough so people just keep playing. Maybe it was necessary to bring them to the game.
Now you can ask yourself why there was so much questions about how the game will be in endgame in diablo 3. You can ask why the blizz team added the inferno difficulty.

Now you can see where PoE is heading. Since i didnt reach the "chaos runs" yet i cannot tell much about replayability/end game drops/something special at end game. I think we are here more to test the parts and mechanics THEY GIVE TO US. Like Chris said they can ramp the difficulty so killing one pack of blue mobs will be possible only in party or even the first mob at normal can be unkillable. But since the difficulty can be scaled i would rather ask PoE dev team what they plan for endgame. I think also that first they should balance characters and then scale lvl to those balanced characters. Will be the easier. And i think its gonna happen since we will have a full wipe before OBT.
again comparing to diablo 3 - we can have gems collecting/items which can only drops in inferno. So far i dunno what PoE has to offer. So basically stop asking about how easy the game is. It can be done in 1hour to make the game really like hell. But making the endgame fun, balanced and REWARDING is what i am waiting for.

I've died in the game twice, one from crash and one from lagspike. My first ranger died at lvl ~20, my second ranger is currently 71 on HC. I've had only ONE legit close death moment in the game where merciless Alira almost instagibbed me to death with her corpse explosion, because I didn't know she even uses that ability since she didn't cast it at all on lower difficulties. All the difficulties after normal need a ramp up on overall difficulty because currently everything except chaos is so easy it's not even funny.
